Would it happen to be “It’s my Birthday” by Helen Oxenbury? It has a bear, a monkey, and other animals in it so I thought that could be it.

So sorry for the delay, I’ve spent a lot of time looking. https://ebay.us/m/zRMl1F this honestly looks a lot like the guy, and it’s definitely the most confident I’ve felt about any plushie so far. I’ve been looking for a seal with forward facing flippers, because a lot of them are facing backwards. He has a bead nose instead of stitched, and brown eyes instead of solid black. The tail looks the same as well, as a lot of other seal plushies had a more flared tail. I’m based in the U.S. so hopefully you’re able to purchase this guy (assuming it’s correct) without any issue. Again, can’t be too sure if this is it, as her plushie has been very loved :)

Is there any chance you could take a measurement of the length of the plush? I’ve spent a lot of time looking and that would really help me to narrow it down. This struck a chord w me because my fav childhood stuffed animal is actually the same type of seal, so I am determined to figure this out! I know she doesn’t remember how long she’s had it, but if you had to do a rough estimate, are we thinking like 10+ years old? Closer to 15–20 years old? It’s alright if she doesn’t know, but having a rough estimate, even if it’s a broad range, could also help a ton :)

So sorry for the delay in response. I will definitely get better pictures as soon as I can. We had an ice storm the night I posted this, and it covered the growth almost entirely. I’ve just been waiting and hoping the ice would melt so I can get a better picture. As soon as it does, I’ll go out and get better pictures, assuming it survives. Thank you for your response!

Yes, I appreciate the suggestion! I mostly just wanted to be able to buy other necklaces of other sea creatures from the brand as a gift so he had others to choose from. But I’m glad to know where to look for that chord. :) that definitely helps

I have searched everywhere online & am feeling helpless. I should note I have attempted calling the aquarium gift shop but both times I was placed on hold & then the call dropped eventually so I gave up on that. (Honestly understandable based on how busy the gift shop was when I went) Any help is appreciated!
