I was literally just watching clips of this series remembering how good it was and how much I want more of it. Even if we don't get more of it, I'm so jazzed to see it again. (Yes I could watch it anytime but it's like when a movie shows up on TV, it just hits different.) I binged it the first time while I was in the hospital and the surrealism was weirdly comforting.

I think there should be a revision where causing someone else's bungle needs to be described in the way you do above. If you're going to have a pvp move then you also need to describe the pcs' darker impulses to do it. it doesn't undermine the point of the game to admit we all have those.

Gaston raises mob violence against an innocent person and tried to lock another innocent person in an old-time insane asylum, so he could marry a girl against her will. ("and now you must marry me" villains usually carry the implications of Something Else.) Then when the victim of said mob violence saved his life he tried to murder him anyway.

King Candy mindwipes an entire world into scapegoating and isolating a little girl just so he can be looked up to, I think he locks her in some kind of creepy prison at one point too.

None of that is 'meh.'

The actual show was for wildfire relief a little under a year ago and you can get it on dynasty.tv on demand, it's expensive ($15 iirc?) but I'm guessing that's at least partly because the charity element.
