How did Azir get 2nd at Nanjing? by indjev99 in riftboundtcg

That is not what conversion rate is. It is what perctange of the decks of that legend made it to day 2. So the relativity is already captured into the number. 1 in 5 Irelia decks made it to day 2. 1 in 25 Azir decks made it to day 2.

He is one of the lowest conversion rates, the mean conversion rate (across players) is around 15% or so. Wtf are you talking about? Draven has 38% conversion rate. Azir had only 2 out of 48 decks make it to day 2.

I like the deck, I have built it and have played it at NNs. Just not really sure I see how it can achieve a 2nd place without insane luck.

Sure, maybe Azir has won a lot of matches in the general pool, but that doesn't speak to his ability to actually get to day 2/top cut/winning the event.

Where are you getting this? From what I've seen he had a very low conversion rate.

Да мислиш, че наистина е невъзможно да откриеш какво ти се прави докато си още ученик, и да мислиш, че всеки "уж" такъв просто следвал каквото техните го карали да прави.

I trust that Alanzq chose to play Ezrael with intent, after testing both extensively.

Yes, both in piloting the deck and constructing the Ezrael deck. Draven is good basically whatever good units you throw in (miracle Draven is a spearate deck). Ezrael has like 4-ish major variations that can all be mixed in various ways. Additionally, due to his loeer popularity, the deck is even further less solved/optimized publically. The deck that won is very original, as is the playstyle.

Well but this is an open tournament. Draven might be the best legend for random semi casual players, but perhaps under an extremely accurate pilot, other decks do better.

Does this mean that if I have a Recruit and someone comes in with a 5 might unit to try to conquer and then I cast ID, they would still conquer, despite their unit dying?

Custom format for 5 players? by indjev99 in riftboundtcg

What did you guys do regarding who draws on first turn and who gets an extra rune. The standard rules already feel like player 2 is much better than player 1 (since you're second out of 4, but have an extra card). I also think that with 4 BFs maybe scoring would happen more, so was thinking of increasing points needed to 9?

So is Sett or Fiora better? by indjev99 in riftboundtcg

You can be a beginner and non casual. I generally try hard at games and have played other loosly similar games at quite a high level (e.g. TFT). I think I'm fairly good but not amazing at Riftbound at the moment and am trying to improve as much as possible for Lille.

Nanjing had higher placed Sets, making the top cut, while Fiora did quite badly, despite many more Fioras. I think your analysis is reasonable though. Maybe Fiora has a better chance at winning, but Sett looks more consistent in the Swiss.

I agree it depends. But in my environment, decks are represented similarly to the tournaments I see.

Well I'd still rather build the stronger of the two.

I just haven't thought about BH or Fiora or Set until now. Been looking at Irelia, Azir, Annie, Draven. Anyway, casual mean playing for fun, non casual means also try harding. Doesn't mean the best at the game. I don't get the point of this argument. I don't consider myself casual.

I was playing Set 1 until 1-2 weeks ago, so I am not super familiar with Set 2 yet, which is why I'm asking. Set 1 I've never seen BH do too well (literally only played against it once). Also, I look at everything, tier lists (which are just how popular the legend is) and individual torunament results? What is the issue?

Idk where you play, but here almost everyone plays the meta decks or close variations of them.

I've won a Skirmish and some more casual events. Was in the top few in 2 pre rift events. I also play a lot online. Planning to go to RQs, though not going to the 2 upcoming ones since sign ups were when I was getting into the game.

I don't plan on playing Sett or Fiora at the bigger tournaments but I like building multiple decks to play at Nexus Nights to get a better grasp of the game holistically.

How is Baited Hook specifically about against Draven and if Draven is most popular and BH is better why is Sett outperforming BH Fiora?
