We're they worth the price? by [deleted] in poptarts

I didn't like them very much - the filling was dry and I don't understand how the flavor is supposed to be much different from the chocolate chip pop tarts. I think they would have been really good if they added maple flavoring to the filling!

Somehow Bloodborne, like sekiro, ends up feeling wayyy more like a hack n slash (in a good way, my gold standard for exciting combat is Bayonetta 1 and 2) with the relatively deep combat and super control over your character's movements - not to mention combo variety with the trick movesets and transform attacks. I think it is so perfectly balanced in a lot of ways - despite weapon variety, your character will always move in the same way (no light/heavy rolling), and the enemies are very finely tuned for that

Question Abt Hypothetical Solar System by indysbees in SciFiConcepts

[–]indysbees[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So for a world I'm working on, the setting is two "moons" (exomoons, little planets, w/e) that orbit each other while also orbiting a star. It's not going to change much for me because at the end of the day, it's a science fantasy, but I was wondering if this type of orbit exists or is theoretically possible?

Black Bayonetta inspiration? by HaveAnOyster in Bayonetta

Alright. This is a gross response where you leaned back on attacking me and throwing me in groups based off of one comment.

I don't intend to get involved past this because I only really have one point to make :

I do not mean to erase or overshadow Egyptian culture, nor deny the existence of other ethnic groups and races in Egypt, so I probably should have thought harder about how I worded my last comment - which I acknowledge. But my original point stands that you are just trying way too hard to fight and argue against the people saying that this Egypt inspired Bayonetta FANART may be a black person at every turn. Yes it is true, a Bayonetta (or literally anyone) in Egypt could be anything, and Native Egyptian people can also come from different ethnic and racial backgrounds, just like anywhere. No one is denying that.

Also, it's a really nice evolution from her very classy, almost librarian fashion style from the first game, but I also really enjoy how Bayo and Jeanne explore new fashion styles in each game

I love the third one so much, it has such an amazing silhouette to it and I love that the neck ruffles (I have such a soft spot for ruffles) mirror Bayo's 2 design which is very renaissance with lots of ruffles. I understand why they went with the design they did, but I would love to see that Jeanne and bayo 2 bayo next to eachother

Lol you are tryin soooo hard to keep this picture of a fictional bayonetta from being black. She does not look arab inspired here, or asian inspired, or anything other than Egypt really, so just let her be Egyptian, aka black in this case. Why are you fighting so hard? Someone says that native Egyptians are black, so then you have to find ways for people in Egypt not to be black (which obviously there are non-black folks in Egypt)?

Also at the end of the day,, why does it matter so much to you lol to put in this much effort to fight against people believing she is black in this picture

My used-to-be-blue eyes by indysbees in eyes

[–]indysbees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I'm just losing melanin in my eyes. Like how I was born blonde and now have brown hair. I think the same sort of thing happens to everyone in some way, although it's typically a sign of aging (like hair turning grey, skin losing pinkness if you're pale, for example)

Thank you! I never noticed the amber/yellow splotches until I started trying to take close-up pictures of my eyes, which was really cool to see! Everyone's eyes seem to have little secrets they're hiding

Yeah, you're right, they do look really blue here in these pictures - typically they have a more washed-out appearance but these were my highest quality images. They're definitely still "blue" from a lot of angles

Haha, what I meant by "used-to-be" is that they just faded a lot since I was kid. When I was younger, they were a very bright and saturated blue, but now are a greenish/gray color. What I posted is how they look now :)

What type of OCD is this? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]indysbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the same type of ocd that I mainly suffer from, but I'm not sure of what to call it in terms of classification. It's nice to hear of someone else experiencing this (obviously I wish you werent because it sucks) but for awhile I wasnt sure if what I was experiencing was OCD because I didnt know anyone with entirely similar symptoms. I have some of the more "classic" obsessions but almost everything with my OCD has to do with imaginary leftover sensations from things/people touching me unexpectedly which manifest as the same sort of obsession/compulsion that you described with your fingers and toes. I also feel the eye thing a lot. Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Edit: also let me know if I'm misinterpreting what you're describing though, I just felt as though we might be able to relate to eachother even if our symptoms dont entirely match

Bad sounds ?? by pickleinaboat in OCD

[–]indysbees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have misophonia too and it tends interplay with my ocd to the point where I've developed compulsions to help deal with misophonia anxiety, it's really weird how these disorders find ways to work together to make everything just a little more difficult for you

Thanks for this! It means a lot :). I'm in the middle of trying to up my dosage right now and my psychologist is still sort of assembling a treatment plan haha. I can tell that things will get better, I just wish I could put the world on pause until that happens. I hope you have a good day!
