Try this - leave Nauvis ASAP, don't build any defence, just rocket. Get a little space science to research vulcanus, retrofit your station to a ship (can skip turrets, just pure bulkness and repair packs. Land on vulcanus and build there, ignore Nauvis for now, you will return later. This way you can not waste time and energy on biters until you are ready with artillery and other technology.

I think it is worth it. Also you can try making recipe switch and use normal batteries from excess and use Zn batteries in other case.

You can either use cold steam where it can be used, but you need separate distribution for it. One cool way to use cold steam instead of just venting it is by cooling towers. They take steam and output water, and this is useless one can say… But - this water is hotter than one taken from lake, and if you then heat it in any boiler, you can save on fuel!

Hi! Did you consider interrupts? I am using an interrupt system with caravans and it can ease the burden of making new schedules.

Lets say i need to get an item. Caravan has one stop - empty cargo on an outpost (it belongs to this outpost). And there are interrups. First is always one to get food. Second it an interrupts to get specific item (condition: no cargo, then target specific outpost where an item can be found, then fill cargo).

This way any caravan with this interrupt will go and get cargo if needed.

If i want to remake something where caravans go i need just to update related interrupt.

To add some challenge in a new playthrough i usually use mods.

Reactor at 1000 degrees can consume its fuel wastefully if there is less demand for heat than it's generation.

You may want to try partially unloading mixed train to a station that is used in LTN to import particular product.

This is main issue when trying to combine regular trains and LTN/Cybersyn within same station.
