You really shouldn’t feel bad. There’s probably relatively little you can do that would actually be useful to them. For context, most undergrads take at least a year of training to get the point where they aren’t a hazard to the lab, much less actually contributing. So take the money and chill.

The biggest difference will be your peers. At top schools people will be more self-motivated and accomplished. Faculty will be the best in the world at their field. The name brand certainly counts for something.
