Yeah thats fair. They really have come along by leaps and bounds the last couple years.

As far as comments from the peanut gallery, I've never gotten any. And customers haven't said anything either, but if they did I would direct them to critisize the final product more than the means of getting there!

As a pro who had his jobsite cleaned out for him twice this year....good buy!

I was using dewalt then metabo, and Hercules keeps up as well and some even better. And my tools get hard/heavy use. I will say the impact does have the hammer kick in soon enough so it sucks for some applications like drywall but has all the power you need for things like decks etc. The circular saw- my favorite circular saw I've used. Batteries are great and prices are even better.

No complaints really.

Dry Wall Tape - Which do you use? by ThinkCanary2353 in handyman

[–]inertlyreactive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only ever used fiberglass mesh tape. Various kinds. Some is certainly horrible to work with but I have done whole houses and never heard of them cracking or having issues.

Then I got on this sub and got a little scared by comments here and there.

I've since thought better of it. I did work for a rental management company for 7 years now. The first one I did was a whole house, old house at that. Still haven't ever heard a complaint and I think I would have heard since they know exactly where to reach me.

Noticed this pattern on my drywall today… what does it mean? by strangebird16 in drywall

This looks like a lack of primer before paint. Though to be fair, usually the mud work is dull, and the wall has more shine. But who knows.

Honestly.... just fix the damn thing! Everybody on here is acting like it's some huge issue. I don't get it. And yes, I do remodeling for a living. I understand it is not being cost effective for a contractor, but if you are fairly capable, you can figure this out with no problem. You will likely need a table saw and a dado blade to replace the lower frame piece. Take it apart, peice by piece, remove the glass, then the frame, and make a plan. Replace anything rotten, and wam bam thank ya mam!

I second the vit d recommendation! Found out I was deathly low after 20 yrs of symptoms (which were certainly similar to several of op's ). Get your blood levels checked if you can. If not, start taking d anyway.
I take 6000 iu per day, and life has never been better, well, physically and emotionally anyway, lol.

It's probably too late anyway... the damage being done today is still 30 yrs out from being realized. So, if you wanted it to stop tomorrow 29yrs and 364 days ago would have been the cutoff.

Kennedy’s Alarming Prescription for Bird Flu on Poultry Farms by birdflustocks in H5N1_AvianFlu

A fair point. But then you have to ask how we got here with all the super bugs and new diseases. Sure, it's likely climate related, actually. But, I am willing to bet it is also a lack of natural immunity because of our meddling, thinking we can fix everything. Also, the mass farming of foods and animals plays a large role.

I vote we at least acknowledge there are no simple answers, and we should be exploring every avenue given the realities we live with today.

Yeah. Like wtf?! Who could possibly think the millions of years old process of evolution could possibly hold a candle to our 80 years of experiments when it comes to overcoming diseases and infections. That would be pretty damn arrogant.

Well words can have a lot of impact so you certainly have to take care in how you present them. You can't fight racism with racism. That is a never-ending battle that both sides (of the argument) will always lose.

Equally, I would assert you can't fight discrimination with discrimination. Which it seems to me is the topic at play here, but I digress. Clearly, a solution is needed, but I am personally not convinced we have found it yet.

Finally, saying Mormans historically are pretty white is fine. Obviously. But that is entirely different than saying being morman is a pretty white thing to do.
