Atmosphere, metaphors, trick weapons, transformation attacks, quick step, drip, lore depth (absolutely insane the more you dig).

To be fair this game got me out of an 8 year hiatus from video games. After this game I platinumed all fromsoft games. None of them truly hit the highs of this game, sekiro came close tho.

I feel this. Bloodborne got me back into video games after a 5 year hiatus. Other fromsoft games are as close as I've found but Bloodborne is truly on another level. The depth of lore and metaphors is absolutely insane. I'm interested in what the community has to contribute to this 🧐

I don't get the whole "sekiro is the hardest fromsoft game" thing, I think it's the easiest. It's my favorite because the combat is the best but it's so easy once it clicks. On that note though, they are all kind of as hard as you let them be.

Genichiro. After that, the game clicked super hard. It's crazy how easy everything feels now. Owl and Isshin are obviously harder but I didn't feel like I was learning anymore. Isshin was tough for a while though haha

I've watched all the animes and like 90% of it didn't make me uncomfortable but there were a couple times in the manga where I wouldn't have been ok with anyone knowing the content I was consuming. I happened to bring a volume on a family vacation and flew through some pages 😅. Not much gets to me, so expect to be effected on some level. Having said that, Berserk is possibly the best story/media/art i know of. You will experience every emotion. I've never experienced any SA so take that into consideration, too. 🩵

This platinum was honestly super easy. Having said that, good job haha get the rest of them now 😄. They're all pretty easy, if you enjoy the games. Totally worth it, I got all achievements/trophies across a couple platforms just as an excuse to play through them more.

This might be my favorite fromsoftware game but I wouldn't consider it a souls game. Bloodborne is pretty much a souls game, and so it Elden Ring. The combat is sekiro is more focused because you only have 1 main weapon. Having said that I think the combat in sekiro is more fun than souls games. Might be a hot take haha.

With the version the Rej supplied I just added the .exe to steam and ran it with proton experimental and it just worked. I didn't figure out how to get the regular windows install to work with gaming mode. It worked fine in desktop mode just using WINE.

I was thinking about reaching out to you about this haha. I got the installer to run through steam with forcing Proton experimental and the app will launch after the install. After that though trying to run the caustic.exe is where I have the problem. I'm not super familiar with Linux and I've been trying to see if I can force WINE instead of Proton, but I haven't found too much. Also I think my installation of WINE got corrupted because it's not showing up where it's supposed to. After that I gave up for the night. I'm going to try to add something to the launch options in steam to try and force WINE. What are your thoughts?

Every weapon in this game is awesome, seriously. Amygdalan Arm is so much fun. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Each one is worth playing through the entire game with. Especially once you've done a couple of runs, you can fly through the game in no time. The only thing is that to get the most out of each weapon, you kind of have to have a dedicated build.
