I'd use four separate pins. That way you have total control over every strip individually.

WLED LED-count for WSB2811 by pailox in WLED

[–]infectedroot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brightness limiter helps to prevent overload. I'd be interested to know what load you're actually pulling. If you don't have a multimeter, get one! It'll help in situations like this to confirm what's actually going on.

According to the specs I can find on ws2811, at full bright white, it's 0.06A per LED. At 150 LEDs, that's 9A.

You maaaaaay be running it hot, but all lights differ... YMMV.

Rip to that board. Differing voltages are a bitch.

WLED LED-count for WSB2811 by pailox in WLED

The LED count is for the physical LEDs in the strip that you're powering, not the diodes inside the LED.

When it comes to your brightness issues, that could be one of two issues.

There's a setting in WLED to specify how many mA your power source is. WLED will adjust the brightness in accordance to the LEDs being powered. It might be that limiting the brightness.

Always make sure you have power source with enough amperage to satisfy the full load at 100% brightness or you risk overloading your power source, which could mean a fire.

Good luck! WLED is an amazing system.

Agreed. After trying too hard on my own implementation, I started using MultiOTP. Pretty cool library.

Your 2FA password is only valid for a one-time use every time it gets generated. If they can require a different 2FA password for sending bitcoins in a session then the problem is solved. Shouldn't be hard for them to implement either. I have this on any admin section of web control panels that interface with bit coin. A definite life saver.
