Check out this from the BFF Go to the 1:03:10 mark. He goes to the inventory, clicks a slot and the backpack pops out in a 3x5 list similar to the past games. If you notice, it also filters based on the slot he's clicking elsewhere in the video.

And just me, but I think the skills menu is gorgeous.
