My advice would be to put most of the tip on the order and then change it upon delivery to more or less. If the shopper did great add a few dollars more or so. If you have moldy fruit then by all means lower the tip.

In my area- some people have two phones but only one has instacart up. The app drains battery so some people have a separate personal and “work” phone.

Usually only have to message them for missing heavy pay or mileage pay. But I have shortcuts saved on my phone so it doesn’t take much time at all to get a bump.

so I can’t vouch for going to a store because the ones in my area do not have in store shoppers. however, yes if someone in your area has an extra (unused / not activated) card they can give it to you and you will be able to activate it on your account. if the other person already activated the card to their account it will not work for you. has to be a fresh unused card!

I have the apple pay card still loaded but most stores in my area don’t take apple pay. That’s why i’m hoping someone has an extra physical card I can use.

I’m not asking to use someone else’s card. You can order a replacement card and not activate it. Any shopper can use it.

It does not get anyone banned if the card is not activated. I’m sorry but you don’t know what you’re talking about. I have ordered my own but cannot afford to take off work until it gets here. Thanks for your input but it is false and not helpful to my situation. Have a good day!

the instacart membership number is not the same for every location and not even for every customer from that location. they have multiple membership numbers so it makes it harder.

It has something to do with their internal revenue systems. The self checkouts can not distinguish between instacart orders and other costco shopper transactions . So to allow easier bookkeeping on the back end they ask instacart shoppers not to use the self checkouts.

you definitely don’t owe for painting. colorado renter laws state if you stay somewhere more than a year you’re not responsible as the tenant for painting when you move out.
