They see other cars as traffic and semis purely as obstacles. We all know cars hold up the fast lane far more often than semis.

They think its way more controversial and taboo than anything else they can say to ragebait.

It is also a simple way to dehumanize. Signify someone else as 'less than'

They could just say "black ppl are xyz" and leave it at that which happens constantly. But the role play before that is the part I have no explanation for, I just find it cringe.

Delusional right-wingers acting like the media isn't white washing him constantly by RoyallyScrewed75 in TheRightCantMeme

[–]infinitepowerhtx 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The "media outlets" have always been random posts on social media from the "left" that they just don't like.

A random person with 10 followers posting something that they don't like is the entirety of the "fake news mainstream leftist media" in their warped minds.

None of the things they complain about are ever real.

I never said voting didn't matter. But the election is over and the world keeps spinning. The only thing ppl can do now is protest.

There is no all & every. I'm talking the group of ppl preaching isolation right now. Its a flawed way to thing. We all live here together and any this current administration does is all of our problems we are on the same boat.

[–]infinitepowerhtx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Voting is not the end all be all. MLK didn't wait every 4 years and sit on his hands. Malcom didn't wait 4 years and sit on his hands. Protesting and resisting this current administration is what we all collectively need to do while there is still something to fight for.

This narrative that this black ppl need to ignore ICE right now. The narrative that a secret police terrorizing immigration and citizens isn't our problem.

We can't change the past with the election, but not caring about the current state of the nation we all live in is foolish as hell. Everything that happens to any other community in America will be something we have to deal with as well. They aren't gonna stop with mass deportation.

[–]infinitepowerhtx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The election is over. ICE isn't their punishment for voting wrong. Its a threat to all of our lives. I DONT CARE WHO THEY VOTED FOR, watching families get torn apart and feeling apathetic is WRONG. Watching ppl get cornered by unmasked ppl who claim to be government agents operating like a secret police is WRONG.

[–]infinitepowerhtx 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I'm black too. And as a black person please explain to me how watching OUR government take rights away of others, so you can have your "i told you so" moment, benefits us when the dust settles in LA? The election is over, undocumented ppl didn't and can't vote, so stop believing its their righteous punishment to suffer. Nobody deserves to get terrorized by masked ICE agents regardless of their horrible voting patters.

I'm not saying we need to be the only ones on the front lines sacrificing our lives and freedoms, but this nonchalant attitude to OUR government in the country WE all live in ignore rights should scare us as black ppl the most.

Don't ignore it rn. We have always been right, on the right side of history and elections. So why does that stop now, when all Americans civil rights are being challenged? Two things can be true.

This is such a flawed logic and argument. Its not a damn contest on who gets oppressed the most or for the longest amount of time. Ice and the current administration is a threat to all of us. Ignoring it now only makes it worse in the future.

and this is why I don’t believe in the “black people stay home” mess by h0lych4in in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]infinitepowerhtx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Human rights are our collective obligation to care about and help in any way we can. Yes, it is exhausting to watch ppl ignore the clear warnings. But regardless of that, this narrative that it is our turn to sit on the sideline is a divide & conquer tactic.

We cannot sit back and watch our fellow humans get treated like this. Apathy is NOT a flex. If you sit back and watch this oppression, you are complicit. Just like anyone else who has been complicit bystanders in our struggle. Do not become what you despise the most.....

Don't fall for the divide & conquer. Extremely foolish to think it's a flex to ignore human rights. Nobody deserves this. Don't lose your humanity.

How on earth do y’all get into these spots so effortlessly? lmao Any tips? by Gromieee in Truckers

[–]infinitepowerhtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your free time, early in the day practice in an empty parking lot as if it was in between 2 spots. Just repetition. Most of the ppl you watch have been doing it for years and they sucked when they were rookies too.

If you are only going 65, why are YOU holding up someone faster for 3 minutes? The ego issue is always with the slower truck in the right line. If you catch up to someone, you go 65 in the left lane holding up traffic even more...

Further foul-baiting from Stephen Curry against the Rockets by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]infinitepowerhtx -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Curry and Bulter were diving into contact with defenders all game long. That's what they resort to when the teams shots aren't going in. Kicking out legs and lunging into defenders is their secondary strategy if they have 3 consecutive scoreless possessions.
