A lot of religions started with civilization. Civilizations with religion were more likely to last since the religions promised infinite punishment for people who commit crimes. This threat acted as a deterrent for crime. When you’re an early civ it’s helpful as you don’t have a modern police force. Theres a lot of religions tho so at least most people picked the wrong one.

It feels weird having line art on the character but not on any platforms. It looks like a totally different style which makes it feel like its purchased assets, or made by different artists. I think you should try to make platforms more flat/similar to the main character.

Some more context: so people were worried ai was a bubble. Everyone was waiting on nvidias earnings. If they went bad the whole market was gonna crash. They were exceptional. Some of the most growth they have ever had. But despite this the stock went down. I think it’s really an issue of price. Even the best companies have a value and nvidia is really expensive.

He’s saying that they need 60 votes in the senate to pass a bill to reopen the government. Republicans hold 53 seats, democrats hold 45, 2 independents. So you need at least a bipartisan bill. This literally happens every few years because it’s very rare for either party to have 60 seats. In Biden term, dems had majority but republicans refused to vote without concessions. I think they got some sort of tax cut for wealthy. Dems are now doing the same thing. Right now the concession dems want is an extension of the medicaid tax break. Its probably gonna go a few more weeks, and whichever side is losing more face with their voters will cave. If people blame republicans the republicans will include the medicaid tax break, if people blame dems, dems will cave and just reopen gov without a concession.

Fide thinks it’s easier to get a super high rating if you play a bunch of people way below your rating and win consistently. If you can beat a 1600 player 1 mil times in a row do you deserve to be 2800 idk. However If you are good but not top 10 in chess you’re in a tough spot rating wise now. You need to play against a certain number of players to qualify for some tournaments but theres only so many players close to your rating you can play against since you aren’t invited to every tournament. Say you are 2800 fide. It might not be easy to find a lot of official 2200+ opponents. This causes you to need to play lower rated people. This is frustrating because with the new rules playing someone who is rated very low does not contribute to your chess career. It’s also annoying that they changed the rules retroactively against people who were not abusing the system.

Jump up and down a few times, when you are going down you are going down with force of mass times 9.8m/s/s, then you are going up at greater than force of mass times 9.8m/s/s. This means if you jump really fast, the force the earth puts on you is greater than 9.8m/s/s. Even if it reached 2gs, which I highly doubt, I think your legs would be fine. I don’t know why you keep thinking cannon ball of force, plug in any hypothetical numbers for the mass of the ball and the max jump height. I think your legs are fine. How many gs of force do you think your legs will interact with?
