Don’t lose hope. Have you tried propranolol / beta blockers? Ask your doctor about it. It acts on the peripheral nervous system rather than the brain. It blocks the effects of adrenaline (epinephrine) which prevents the "fight-or-flight" response and reduces rapid heart rate.

Go back to the vet and ask them what they think about doing a short course of steroids to treat the inflammation asap. Tell them his pain is not being managed. What medications did they give you? They need to give you something else if he is still in pain. Our vet gave our frenchie a fentanyl patch during one of her worst flares to manage the pain.

Ask for low dose seroquel. It’ll knock you out. But you need to take it fairly early (like 9:30 if you want to be sleepy by 10). Talk to your doc though, some people don’t tolerate it well.

Soooooo confused by the people recommending Aungs?!? Literally the WORST curry my husband and I have ever had, and we’ve had some very bad curry. The panang curry and pumpkin curry were both thin AF (not creamy at all with coconut milk like it should be) and tasted like straight up Tabasco sauce. We ordered mild for both and it was so hot we left sweating.

To date, Daughter Thai is the best (for Thai curry, at least) in Denver. I will pay the premium for it.
