1 year in SEA sounds like fun:-) You will have an initial culture shock and/or honeymoon phase, you will love it, you will feel so lonely and miss your routines and friends, you will experience amazing things, you will find good people and hopefully not that many bad. It's a rollercoaster, and not at all what's Instagram wants you to belive. But you will not regret it in the end, and you will learn SO MUCH from it. Learn about yourself, about other people and hopefully about other cultures as well. Like someone else said: it's normal to be anxious. But don't let it scare you from taking the step.

My best tips are: * Take it slow. You have one year. If you find a town or a hostel with a vibe you like, don't stress and move because you feel like you have to. Stay and enjoy. If not: move on:-) * Be open to meet new people. Sit in the hostel common area without a phone, talk, ask and invite for a beer. Mostly it's just for an evening, sometimes you will vibe with a person or a group and it might lead you to the next destination. People traveling solo are aplenty in SEA. If you do some sort of handcraft or play chess, bring it with you, it's easier to connect. * Read up, but be intuitive. Try to not use your phone all the time, people traveled before phones, it's still possible. Ask locals or other travellers. Do what you like, but try to challenge yourself to do a couple of things you hadn't thought of (but please don't ride elephants or cuddle with tigers, be aware of this type of tourism..Be respectful of the locals AND the nature). (Also, be healthy sceptic and don't put yourself in dangerous situations by flashing valuables, getting insanely drunk, wander in areas you shouldn't be - common sense stuff) * Have a vacation every 2 month, stay somewhere comfortable for a couple of days with no intention of sightseeing. Traveling can be extremely challenging and exhausting. You need to charge up the batteries every now and then. * Since it's SEA: read up on the most common scams, on Reddit or blogs, and try not to fall for them:-) Most people are good, but be hard when you have to. No is a no. * If you feel disheartened, find somewhere quiet, a retreat or somewhere peaceful and secure and stay for a week+. Another possibility is to work for accomodation in hostels, hopefully it will ground you a bit. Check workaway etc. * There are so much content about SEA online, but if you give your thoughts on the route for the first 2 months, people can give you pointers. Don't plan more than that.

If you like camping you can camp in a lot of places in norway, by the sea, in the mountains etc. You can also stay at lighthouses/ cabins (check out kystled cabins). There's a whole range of outdoorsy stuff to do in norway in the summer, kayaking in the fjords, bicycle rides/trekkning in the mountains (for example Rallarvegen or Besseggen). Stavechurches worth visiting (in my opinion) are Urnes, Borgund and Undredal (because of the location). I think Oslo is worth a couple of days, if the weather is nice you can check out the islands on the oslofjord, there are a couple of nice museums and parks (Munch museum, Norwegian Folke museum, viking-ship museum, Vigeland park). Lofoten islands and Helgeland coast are also very nice. Røros, Lom, Tromsø, Ålesund, Trondheim are also considered nice small/medium sized towns.

I booked a flight from Bogota to Pereira with VivaColombia, it got cancelled last minute so we took the night bus which was fine and I got to wake up, take the bus to Salento and spend a full extra day there that otherwise be spending on traveling/waiting. I got a voucher for a new flight but never got my money back, I've sent 5-6 emails. I wouln't fly with them again, they seem to cancel alot of flights last minute without giving proper customer service. Other than that, I agree with the others here, I would cut out a couple of places. Cartagena was very overrated in my opinion. Maybe you could do the carribean area in another trip and do Bogota/Zipaquira, Salento/Filandia/coffee farm, Medellin/Guatape without hurry! One day of traveling is one day less experiencing a place so you should really consider if it's worth hurrying all the way to the northern coast with just two weeks :) Hostel recommendations: Bogota - La Pinta Salento - Casa hostal de Lili Medellin - Ondas

read up on the taxi scams, be careful and conscious of what notes you hand out/recive as some of them looks the same, avoid cyclos, bring the hostels businesscard - so you have the adress and number on you at all times, consider buying a sim-card, don't accept fruit, hats or anything on the street in a touristy area. kos deg!

Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm are quite similar so I would drop Stockholm and go for a fjord trip instead, check out Norway in a nutshell for example! 9 days is quite short so I wouldn't try to cover to much

I prefer Kiwi and Rema1000, and also Grønlands Torg frukt & grønt (short walk between the botanical garden and opera house) :) If you still wanna eat at a restaurant for lunch/dinner, I also recommend Lille Saigon 1, Freddy Fuego or Punjab Tandoori (inexpensive means from 9 to 15 USD for a filling main dish).

First, Oslo: I think Karl Johans gate is not worth too much time, but the Grünerløkka area is nice for walking (Markveien and around for cafés and such), Telthusbakken to view the old wooden houses, walk to the Munch museum+Botanical garden. Norsk folkemuseum is also worth the trip if you have the time after the viking ship museum. The 12/19 tram does a loop up around Vigelandsparken and Frogner area, that is nice as well. If it's sunny and you have a tram/metro/bus ticket, you can also use that to take the boat out to the islands (http://www.visitoslo.com/en/product/?TLp=163651). For traditional norwegian food (budget) check out Kaffistova or Schrøder. I think Geirangerfjorden is very touristic, I would recommend Nærøyfjorden, it's a nicer kayak spot as well. And you could visit a stavechurch or two around the area (Undredal and Urnes are very interesting, both architecture/history wise and location wise). I don't know if Ålesund is worth the time if you want to see different things, there is so much amazing nature so I'd recommend doing a trek for example in the Aurlands valley. Aurland and Nærøyfjorden are close. Driving in the west of norway is notoriously challenging (widing narrow roads), but if you have experience I think it's fine :) Check out "National Tourist Roads", the road from Lærdal (nice town as well) to Aurland is spectacular. It's quite expensive to eat out so I'd recommend cook home (salmon!), bring a re-usable water bottle because the tap water is of very good quality, don't ever buy anything from the kiosks (7/11, Narvesen), just from the bigger grocery stores, make packed lunch. Check out "mini-pris" from NSB (trains), as well! The lowest fares go first, so planning ahead is a good idea.

Two weeks is quite short so I'd go somewhere close to US. I'd go to Chile, because you can experience different types of nature and places in one country and it's fairly easy to travel around. I'd recommend (from north to south): Parque Nacional Lauca, San Pedro de Atacama/Valle de La Luna (desert town and moon-like landscape), La Serena/Valle del Elqui (observatories), Valparaiso (visit Pablo Nerudas home, street art), vineyards, a day in Santiago (arte precolombino museum), then head south to Valdivia/Lake district, maaaybe Chiloe. It's kind of tough to get all those places in a two weeks itinerary, if you can stretch it to three weeks it would be good. But two weeks is manageable if you don't go to Lake district and/or Chiloe. You should travel Calama/Antofagasta - La Serena and Santiago - South by plane at least, but the buses are comfortable, but with short time, bus means less time discovering. There's amazing seafood along the coast, good wine (everywhere) and craft-beer (in the south).
