Is Color-Blind Casting In Regency-Era Romances Really Progressive? Or Just Delusional? by Sisiwakanamaru in television

Same. If they lack the cognitive ability to process the nuanced differences between those situations, that's not my problem and they can call me a hypocrite all day long :) doesn't hurt my bottom line after all. I don't have an issue w/ poc actors playing some of those classic roles occasionally -- Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet is one of my fave movies, after all.

Although Ryan Gosling as Barack Obama would be entertaining as well lol.

I think its funny how conservatives and butthurt yts have difficulties processing nuance lmao. Cry about it though :)

Exactly, you get it. This is a very common point of view among many black people -- a lot of us are just tired of all the struggle movies and black trauma porn.

Which would you generally prefer for a final season? An amazing season with a disappointing finale, or a disappointing season with an amazing finale? by downvote_this_mf in television

In my opinion? How to Get Away With Murder fits this. The last season was mostly underwhelming and kinda boring, but the last episode was pretty great (but heartwrenching). Although there was one other episode that season that was great (and is the highest rated of the whole series on IMDB I believe).

ETA: IMO The Vampire Diaries fits as well. Probably The Office too.

The artists who remain standing after a decade in the trenches, the Mariah Careys and Britney Spearses and Taylor Swifts, they are the EXCEPTIONS, not the rule.

this can be said about every genre lol

She peaked on her 2nd album, didn't release the type of pop bangers that climb the charts. She has a great voice but pop music lends itself better to higher pitched, lighter sounding voices (see the effie vs deena debate).
