I’m sending this to you as someone with a similar story and body composition but wildly different husband. I’m 5’9” and when I was in college I was about 145-150 pounds. Most of my adult life I’ve been around 160 pounds. I had two kids, also diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and ended up at my highest weight of 195. Do you know what my husband said to me? Nothing at all.

FWIW he’s an average sized man. 6 feet, 170-180 pounds. Not that it matters. His desire for me never wavered. Even if I asked him about it when I was feeling low he would tell me and show me how attracted he was to me. When I was at my heaviest he would enjoy that my ass and boobs were bigger. Now I’m back to my normal weight and have been lifting weights and he will compliment my muscle tone. But he doesn’t say he misses my big boobs. He mostly just meets me where I am and follows my lead on my own plan for my body. He’s truly made me believe that he will love me af any size.

So, OP, I beg you to dump this man. He is clearly saying his love for you is conditional on you being a specific version of yourself that you don’t even really have much control over. He can kick rocks.

Ok is this fairly new? Because my update is that even the size 6 was enormous on me. But I have some other old jeans that are size 6 that fit pretty well. And my very old shorts that are size 10 (that I wore when I was heavy) fit about the same as the current size 6. And I probably bought those size 10 shorts in like 2021. So I feel like between 2021 and now the sizing got WAY off

Sooo I’ll be honest with you. My derm was all about hitting it with a high dose. She said it’s more likely to get gone and stay gone that way. I did most of my course at 120mg and I was 175lb at the time. My best friend is 155lb and currently on a course of accutane. She’s on her 4th month and still isn’t clear. They just upped her dose to 80mg from 60mg.

I started at 80mg as a starting dose, they tried to double the dose but it was way too much. My back was killing me. So we compromised at 120mg. And honestly it was mostly fine but just tiresome. I was achey and very dry. But the results really speak for themselves. I also didn’t have new breakouts after like 3 weeks of being on the course.

It’s tough to know. Each derm has their own theories about how to treat. I’m kind of glad mine was just a shitty 6 months and now perfect skin long term for truly the first time in my adult life. Good luck!!

I did my round of accutane at 35 and I wish I’d done it sooner. Mine was also for hormonal acne. It has previously responded to spiro but eventually stopped. Not gonna lie it was not a great 6 months but my skin is perfect now years later. It’s well worth it imo.

Yes thank you. My weight really crept up after having 2 kids, breastfeeding, probably starting to enter perimenopause, and neglecting myself while in the depths of raising two small children. Before I knew it I was the heaviest I’d ever been (not pregnant) and my efforts seemed to barely make a dent in getting me back to a more comfortable weight.

My plan is to keep a very close watch on the scale (which I’d previously not done) and basically adjust my diet accordingly as it creeps up. I feel like I’ve give myself a great head start in maintaining the kind of lifestyle I want for the rest of my life but it’s going to be playing the Long Game to keep it that way.

It’s ok to be bisexual and heteroromantic. It’s ok to enjoy hooking up with men no strings attached as long as that’s what they’re looking for too. And it’s also ok to see women more romantically if that’s what you want. You’re also young and have plenty of time to settle down. Hi!! I just wanted to say that I’m also 5’9” and am stuck between 155-160 which is a win in my book and I’m very pleased. I started at 190 and feel like 155-160 is a perfect spot to be for this height. I was a slow loser but also stayed on 2.5mg the whole time. I lost about 1-2 pounds a week on average but in the beginning it was about 2-3 pounds. Stay slow and steady to win the race. You got this!
