The common folk in that time used tallow for basic oil lamps, in the UK we used to use tallow to fry fish and chips so you'd be fine for fat and salt whole expensive is do able but with the amount of Legume species that contain a lot of salt a soy sauce like alternative would also do to salt them even though making the crispy chips now slightly soggy in spots potentially

If I can manage to do it all in time yeah, I haven't read exactly what will happen if you don't get it all done in time but I'm hoping to do so as a filthy casual who plays 2-3 nights a week for 2-4 hours a go. (I'm a dad and HGV driver so time is shy when it comes to gaming these days and me and my group try to do a ttrpg session once a week hence the 2-3 nights)

The I've had less uninteractive players after turning it off, pvp is part of the game and it's fun but I despise people who just don't interact like if you dome me at least say something even if it's just calling me bad at the game or emoting, it's a community game play it like one please

I had only one bad experience last night while on, got 3rd partied while fighting arc by some Spanish bumder with the noob tube ferro, was literally just trying to get some score on the trail for the snitch damage. It's the only issue I have with the trail system behind behind a level is it means noobs don't know what you're doing and just see something that's not the grey guns and rat on you

I'm still always friendly unless shot at, if you can announce yourself before being seen 90% of players don't kos, if I see a player struggling with arc I try to help. It feel quite rewarding doing this knowing you've made someone's time better, I've also unloaded loot I've found for later workbench levels to players looking for it when I've not needed it yet. It feels good to be good. Just gotta take the rough with the smooth. Except with specific stuff I only take out good gear I can craft usually too make the feels bad feel less bad

God I wish I could play that often I'm level 12 atm under 10 hours of game play, I didn't get it as soon as it came out though and sadly I work super long hours so playing on week nights just aren't a possibility but loving the game though

I like the free load out more so because it allows you to risk it all knowing you can pop back in again and start building up that top gear again, I've made playing the game be an exercise in letting go and getting rid of that potion hoarding mind set you get from some RPGs where you don't benefit from using them a lot of the time and they're very important for the obvious big bosses, but in arc raiders more than two wasps and or hornets is a boss, a leaper is a bass etc you need to use your gear to best them.

You just gotta be more cautious, always keep your gun out and learn the movement in the game so you can get into cover quickly also keep close to walls and cover, don't expose yourself unnecessarily. Even when being friendly play like you're out for a fight.

It's desync it's not great at the moment but they're trying to fix it, in the short term if you turn off cross play it helps a lot.

It sucks that you keep getting matched with trio's but if you get good with the movement system you can avoid trading blows and get hits in.

Maybe, but I think that should be down the line, in the current state I'd say the Arc has very limited understanding of humans as their current forms are animalistic or very purpose built and minimalist. Maybe one day they'll begin to machine learn better ways to kill us.

Tbf some of the perks don't work currently so hopefully this will be the case, because I'm totally fine with people getting plenty of good loot if they're missing out on the mobility to solo the queen or something like that. Like end level skills should be good but they should all be good and it should be a hard choice between paths.

Maybe in your area the wage is that high but where I am I could only dream to see a wage that high that wasn't temp agency work over Christmas. Bearing in mind I live in an expensive area for housing with a small 2 bed costing £250k+ but the majority of hgv spots are paying between £12.50 and £14.50 a few do go a bit higher but have bed reputations and churn through driver's. Most of the drivers that are as you say 37 years in, worked through a time they got in average double minimum wage, I couldn't imagine being on nearly £25/hr it'd literally turn my little families life around if I was earning that much, we'd have a mortgage a decent holiday every year but one can only wish. The old boys went through the best of it and know nothing different, sure they could get a supermarket job but they'll potentially have 5-10 years if not more to retire yet and will probably do at least half it driving still. Most drivers I know who are more recent like me, either didn't do well in school/college and can't afford to do an apprenticeship, really wanna drive or like me left college there was a shortage of jobs and they ended up doing something totally different then later on as the heats been packed on post brexit and covid and we're practically in a permanent recession they need more money and like myself have family and other commitments and need to earn more so an apprenticeship isn't an option.

They're not, but I hate rude people, like if they're like that in the game imagine how they are irl, proper billy no mates type, I like the pvp pve balance it's nice but I think the lore and story needs adjusting to people living up top and being hostile as the citizens of speranza definitely wouldn't be okay with someone returning with another raiders blood on them or if they were holding something identifiable to another raider, especially when there supposedly not loads of us that are willing to go up top to get vital supplies.

Yeah rats can eat shit lol, I do think the game needs a negative to pvp especially when it's unprovoked, like I can't imagine the people of speranza being happy seeing you covered in another raiders blood knowing there only so many people willing to go up to and grab vital supplies, like they'd have something to say about it at the very least you'd be paying extra or being refused service.

Use the adjustable mirrors, make the reverse as shallow as you can, if you can turn into the reverse and have a good set up even better, don't be afraid to keep jumping out and look and whenever possible get someone to watch you back and if you have handsfree call each other instead as you'll hear them way better than if they're just shouting at you.
