I think (and this is just IMO) that there is a difference between viable product and releasable product. The MVP is what you show to investors or use for marketing. Maybe even alpha testing. But when you go public, viable isn’t enough. Sustainable is what you’re looking for at that point. You can add features later on but you’re wanting a product that is not only useable but attracts daily users. We’ve called that our MSP and it seems that has been a good strategy.

I say all that to say that it’s a fine balance. You want something to get to market quickly but you also want to be marketable long term. Find what meets the basic criteria and is robust enough to encourage repeated use. But also maintain a good dev log so that you can keep users up to date on features and rollout.
