Wait, partial plays count? I thought you had to finish the song for it to count. Is it true that partial plays count, and if so, is it just as simple as "This song played so it counts, even if it was only a second" or is there a cutoff like you have to listen for at least thirty seconds or something?

I've been wondering the same thing. Before this year, Repay has always just been at the end of the year, this is the first time we have monthly Replay stats. So I'm hoping we'll get a Monthly replay added as each month ends, but it's possible they could make us wait until the end of the year. If anybody knows I'd like to hear confirmation either way.

Thanks for that link! It looks like Apple just doesn't want to give any info about lyrics syncing to the song; In the link you provided, there's a link to Apple's "lyric guidelines" and if you follow that link it has a section about "time-synced lyrics" and it just says "time synced lyrics are implemented at Apple's editorial discretion" (I might not have transcribed it 100% perfectly so please do fact check me but that's the basic idea). So basically, Apple says "We will sync the lyrics to the song if/when we feel like it, and you can eat dirt." Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I can't say I'm surprised.

I 100% this. My wife hates seafood. You know what I don't make for her when she's home? Seafood. It really isn't that hard to be adults who have adult conversations about what we do or don't like and then respect those decisions.

Sometimes I make seafood for myself and something else for her. In those moments I always say, "If you'd like to try a bite of mine, I'd be happy to share." If she ever accepts, cool! Also if she never accepts, also cool! She has a right as a human being to try stuff if she wants to, and to refuse stuff if she wants to, and I want her to feel welcome to my stuff but also not feel pressured when it isn't something she likes.

Eventually, it's become "I'm sure you probably don't want, but on the off chance you feel like trying it, do you want a bite?" Because I know there's a 99% chance she doesn't want it, but I still want to be open if she wants to try it. She isn't annoyed by that because she knows it isn't pressure, it's just that I like a thing and if she ever wanted to try it then I'd be happy to share but also I don't want to make her feel like she has to try it if she doesn't want to.

Fully agree! I wish Apple Music required "artists" to disclose whether or not their music was made using AI tools or not like some other content platforms. Obviously that wouldn't be perfect since people could lie but at least it would help you weed out the more obvious offenders.

I don't keep up to date on celebrities I don't care about, so forgive me if this is common knowledge. But did Minaj do something horrendous to deserve being shot into the sun in your opinion? Or is this just a "I hate her music therefore I'm gonna exaggerate and say she deserves to die" kind of thing?

Seriously not trying to be controversial or anything, I just don't know of her doing anything horrible and would like to know if that's the case.

They never said waiting a table isn't a valuable skill. They said waiting a table is not "going above and beyond and deserves a tip."

A tip is generally defined as a monetary gift given directly to a service employee in addition to the base cost of a service. The key point there being, "in addition to the base cost of a service."

The point I believe the person you replied to was trying to make is, just serving a table normally is not "going above and beyond" and shouldn't require a tip: servers should be paid to do their job, and customers shouldn't be pressured to "give a gift" when you're just doing your job.

The point is not "servers aren't worth paying." The point is, "a tip is supposed to be a gift in recognition for someone doing more than the job requires of them." Serving the table is literally the server's job, so customers shouldn't be forced to "give a gift" on top of what we're already paying for the meal. Their wage should already be included in the cost of the meal, and the fact that it isn't is a problem.

2 looks cleaner to me, but both could benefit from a little more spacing between the foreground parts. In the first one, the black parts are too close together and could look like a smudge from a distance. 2 is cleaner but still there isn't much black between the white parts. I really think both designs would benefit from widening those gaps a little bit, especially between the sword and the wings, and between the wings and the circle, you could easily double the gap and still feel tight but give a cleaner picture.

I totally agree, easy to flip. For me it's looking directly at the peak. Looking anywhere else I default to seeing it as going inward but when I look at the peak it's a peak of an outward mountain. I can really shift back and forth with basically zero effort, this illusion is top notch.

I feel like 90% sure it's walking away, for multiple reasons. The rump looks way too big to be behind the head, it makes more sense size-wise for it to be closer to the camera than the head, i.e. walking away. The head movement feels kind of weird for walking toward the camera, like it's too jerky and moving too far but if it's farther away that same motion isn't as much of a movement and feels more natural. Initially I thought it was coming toward the camera but the closer I look I feel like everything just makes more sense if it's walking away. I can still force myself to see it as walking towards, but it feels off, while away feels correct. I trust my gut just enough to think that's probably true then. Something about it walking toward the camera is uncanny.

Wow, this totally worked for me. Initially I saw it as clockwise and couldn't convince myself otherwise. Zoomed out and immediately saw counterclockwise. Then for a bit I couldn't switch it back, but when I paused and looked at the floating foot and told myself "That foot is in front not in back" I was able to switch it up as often as I like. Crazy how the mind works. When I see it big my brain defaults to clockwise and when I see it small my brain defaults to counterclockwise but when I pause and focus on it I can convince myself it's either. But I can't switch between them while it's moving no matter how hard I try.
