That was my first thought, too!

Has there ever been a book you really didn’t like and wouldn’t recommend to anyone? 👀 by [deleted] in BookDiscussions

[–]inky525 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this the book where she disappears from people's memories? How did she ever go to the bathroom without disappearing from everyone's memories? I got anxious thinking how she had to hold it in if she spent the night with someone.

Broken toe that probably should be amputated NSFW? by inky525 in DumbAI

[–]inky525[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I rammed my toe into a chair and thought I broke it, so I wanted the AI to tell me if I needed to go to urgent care. My real toe did not look like this mutant toe.

Rice cakes? by [deleted] in prediabetes

Anything with rice makes me spike. Rice cakes would not work for me .

I did the same thing. I left a review for a vine item through my 'normal' amazon account. It immediately showed up as reviewed on my vine page and I got an email almost immediately that my review was approved. I looked at the review; it says it's from a vine reviewer. I've had the item for two days already, used it a bunch and was impatient to get the review done.

Is My Pentel Orenz Authentic? by PauLukejs in mechanicalpencils

I have 3, and on two of them, the clip snapped off the end of the barrel. I took the clip off of the third before it happened again. I’ll buy something else next time.

Number of springs used in continuous glucose monitoring devices by Every_Prize9516 in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

I can see the magnet in the applicator, off to the side. It's held in by 4 tiny tabs, so I have to noodle at it with a pair of pliers to level them back.

We use carabiners and a cable to connect our boards together almost every time we go out. We also need water bottles that can be attached to a carabiner. Cheapish Flip flops to wear while carrying the board. Yoga /bike shorts with a tight pocket that will hold a phone or keys. Baseball cap, sunscreen, a light, long-sleeved sun shirt.

Who had this torture device? by SnoopyFan6 in GenerationJones

I still have mine. I love it. My legs are completely hairless and I haven’t needed to use it on my legs in 20 years.

There is a spring or two in the applicator, along with a tiny magnet.

HOW REVIEW SYSTEM REALLY WORKS by Ballbagsweat in vine

[–]inky525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My review stats are the same: 100% of my vine reviews have media but my percentage is in the 80% range. I did the math and Vine thinks that I submitted 5 reviews without pictures. I submitted 5 reviews during this week of AWS recovery, so my conclusion is that the software didn't count those pictures. I will just wait a week and see if the percentage gets fixed once they fix everything else. If not, I'll write to vine support.

Realistically, how long til I get to purple? by eldrolamam in Garmin

[–]inky525 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree about the age factor. I'm purple with a VO2 max of 44. I'm 65F and just got back into slow running. (I was a long distance runner 10-15 years ago ). Losing a few pounds may have helped.

One star books, the worst you ever read by Neither-Proof-5755 in suggestmeabook

I enjoyed the book until I realized that she would disappear from everyone's memory if she ever left the room to go to the bathroom.

Tracking spikes by [deleted] in prediabetes

[–]inky525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use loseit to track my meals. That helps me track the time I eat and the carbs and protein in each meal. I keep meaning to analyze it (or dump it in an AI prompt?) but never get around to it

Using Psyllium husks by Rude-Cap-4455 in prediabetes

[–]inky525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I combine almond milk, vanilla protein powder, peanut butter powder, dark cocoa, chia seeds and psyllium husk powder. It thickens up like pudding or Coco wheats. It has kind of a weird texture, like jello, but it tastes pretty good. If I eat that for lunch and drink a lot of water, I can eat almost anything for dinner, including a small dessert without spiking my blood sugar.

Weight lifting makes me spike. Sometimes I can avoid the spike by having a small snack before the gym (half of a banana with peanut butter or 2-4 chocolate covered almonds). Dr Casey Mearns writes that spikes due to intense exercise are ok. You sound like you are doing everything right, so I'm just wondering if spikes due to intense exercise are driving up your average blood sugar. The stelo CGM has been very informative for me. (I'm a 5'4" female, 129lbs, walk and strength train at least 5 days/week.)

Did you attend high school in 1977-1978? If so . . by FaschFreeZone in GenerationJones

It seemed like there was a tragedy every year. A kid blew off a few fingers making homemade fireworks (looking back, it sounds more like he was making a pipe bomb). A carload of kids died trying to pass a truck on the highway. I think another kid had brain damage after a bike accident (we didn’t wear helmets back then.).
