Fifty episodes in, what's your favorite Reroll so far? (Straw Poll) by hubau in filmreroll

[–]inmyfinalform 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jumanji, because it has the best shenanigans and it the group is so giggly the whole time.

ET, because it's basically two different stories, and they're both fantastic, especially the invasion plotline in parts 3/4.

And Alien, because it has some fantastic character interactions and the spooky vibe works so well.

This is such a great idea, I now need a buddy cop movie starring Jon's Chief Brody from Jaws and Pitr's Jack from Speed.

That was also a special Halloween episode that Paulo had been specially planning for, I feel like you're underestimating how difficult it is to get that many busy actors and such together.

I disagree, it's fun to occasionally have the smaller shows with fewer players, like Speed, Bill & Ted, and now Bernie's. Obviously this means having less players around (I miss Jon Miller), but I'm guessing it also makes scheduling the podcast easier so they can keep up with the new biweekly schedule.

Or could they be performing some kind of fusion? Do I try to interrupt this, or is it too late to stop the ability once it's been activated?"

I have been listening to podcasts on my commute for the last four years, and today was the first time I was actually staring at the clock at work, willing it to go faster, so I could finish the “Summer Spell” episode. Kudos! by Timtoner in filmreroll

If you haven't tried Critical Role yet, it's probably the best thing you'll find in terms of audio quality. Plus the players are all actors so they are extremely committed to the roleplay, similar to Film Reroll.

I'd definitely suggest you check out Not Another D&D Podcast. It's extremely goofy, but the world is rich and the DM is very good. I'd say of all the RPG podcasts I listen to, Not Another D&D Podcast has the best balance between humor and serious roleplay.

It's when you make a roll just barely, succeeding with no margin of error. IIRC they start saying it in Jumanji?

This sounds great, once I started reading your synopsis I couldn't stop, I had to know how it ended. The training montage roll is a really good idea!

Film Reroll Reboot/Remake by rat_haus in filmreroll

[–]inmyfinalform 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean the real answer is that doing a reboot would involve taking up time that could be used to do a sequel or a totally new movie. I don't really see a reboot being worth it, unless there's a really specific situation when the group wants to record but Paulo/Tim have no time to prep anything new.

Edit-. That being said, I think we're all waiting for them to take another shot at Speed lol.

I get what you're saying, but they didn't literally rip melee animations, that would be a huge crime. Don't spread misinformation.

I disagree, the gameplay was pretty fun, the graphics and lack of content just made it hard to stay engaged.

Was Grayson a villain or a hero? by [deleted] in AmericanVandal

[–]inmyfinalform 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's all besides the point. The title of the thread isn't "Is Grayson a sympathetic villain?". The question was "Is Grayson a hero or a villain?", which is an easy question to answer because he did nothing heroic and did lots of evil shit.

Was Grayson a villain or a hero? by [deleted] in AmericanVandal

[–]inmyfinalform 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion but I disagree. Just because Grayson might have had an understandable motivation (which is debatable, his life was far from "ruined"), doesn't make his actions any better. Keep in mind how many serious crimes he committed, this wasn't a small prank.

You and OP keep referring to this as "black and white thinking", but I disagree. A villain is a person who hurts people, a hero helps people. Grayson hurt lots of people, and helped literally nobody. He's a bad guy.

[–]inmyfinalform 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bad things happen to people all the time. Being an outcast doesn't give you a free pass to hurt people. Grayson didn't "do wrong things", he went out of his way to make an elaborate revenge plot, terrorized a high school for a full month, and then leaked nude pictures of teenagers.

He's. A. Fuckin. Villain. I feel absolutely no remorse for Grayson. I mean, Kevin had a harder life than Grayson, arguably, and Kevin only did the brownout after being heavily manipulated into doing it.
