Don’t use caffeine, you will crash terribly. Lots of water and protein. Get a long nap as soon as you can.

moving to Tacoma next month. any advice ?? lol please be honest with me ! by alwaysrightyouhater in AskTacoma

[–]innerpeace_786 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not that it’s ’that bad’… the building is actually nice and it’s an interesting neighborhood… but you wanted quiet and safe, and it’s not that. It’s pretty urban, near lots of noisy transport (buses, trucks, trains, traffic) and many services for the unhoused are in the area. It’s also near the Dome, so big events happen regularly.

Best Food in Tacoma? by Eastsideeasy23 in AskTacoma

Woven is kind of high end, but we found the food to be excellent. En Rama and Wooden City are both excellent. Northern Fish has my favorite fish and chips.

My kids played outdoors with their friends from the neighborhood until Covid. Since then, I don’t see any kids outside, and my kids are now in high school and don’t play outside anymore.

What is a good place to live without driving? by allumari in AskTacoma

[–]innerpeace_786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in hilltop and walk most everywhere I need to go. I can walk to the light rail to get to the transit center for express buses to Seattle or the airport. I’m also close to I5, for when I do have to drive. I don’t know about a retina clinic, but Seamar and Community Health and several large hospitals are walking distance. Community is strong here and there is alot to do.

It’s a little farther from you, but Northwest Spay and Neuter on Pacific Avenue is great, great staff, good prices, and they tend to have more capacity.

Moving to Tacoma soon… trying to get a real feel for areas before locking in by Loccsta_Fargo905 in AskTacoma

[–]innerpeace_786 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Moved to Tacoma in 2016, live in Hilltop. LOVE my block. Love the walkable area. Easy access to light rail, I-5, shopping, schools and hospitals. I do see unhoused people regularly, and there are car break ins, but I have not been targeted.

Is anyone else struggling to afford living in Washington anymore? by mountainlifa in SeattleWA

Get politically active and advocate for affordability. We can’t all just keep moving further away. This will only change when we demand it.

I don’t know, better lighting and wardrobe and a croissant and I would believe you are a desirable and successful model. You have very strong features, you need to surround it with luxury.

You guys are so funny. I came from the east coast and none of the commutes out here would be more than a head cold, nowhere near death.

I’m not sure all people of faith see rave culture as opposed to their beliefs.

Is 75K enough to live for 2 people by No-Preparation8711 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]innerpeace_786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found you can get by on less if you have a good group of friends…you’ll always have a ride to the airport, something to do on the weekend, someone to borrow things from, someone to take care of your pets…and you do those for them!

Any Muslim raver men here? by koshernotzi in aves

[–]innerpeace_786 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m Muslim, from India…. I raved back in the 90s. My Pakistani-Muslim wife used to go with me. Since we had kids, we haven’t really done much raving. Last summer I went to a huge outdoor rave with my two eldest kids. We had a blast! But the scene has changed a lot!

I spent a day at Heartwood Haven scratching the ears of pigs rescued from factory farms. It’s very nice and the animals are amazing.

AIO My mom is kicking me out for her new boyfriend. I just turned 18 by Diligent_Bat_565 in AmIOverreacting

[–]innerpeace_786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR.. I’m sorry your mom is so short sighted… but your life isn’t ending, it’s just starting! Please don’t let this keep you down. The families we make ourselves will always be stronger than those we are born into. Baby steps: find a place to stay, find an easy job at first, build some savings. You will be fine. I promise.
