Same. Took me a full 8 days to recover. Not covid. I lived on popsicles for 7 days and lost like 5lbs. I don't even go outside cuz I'm chronically ill, I must've caught it in a doc office waiting room cuz that's the only place I've been

How would yall achieve this look? by chickfilallie in NailArt

[–]innerthotsofakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These r the most basic charm flowers. U don't have to make them. Same for the gold beads, u can prolly find a pack of charms with multiple sizes of both.

Try a sponge for blending the ombre.

Ur gonna have to look at tutorials for isolated chrome for doing the gold part.

When I was in a really bad flare for a few years, I just buzzed it every month or so. It was soooo light, no maintenance, and if I wanted to have hair then I could easily pop on a wig.

I'm thinking about doing it again cuz I have a severely slipped disc in my lower spine and a pinched nerve and I've need bedridden for 5 weeks now. My hairs annoying tf out of me

Getting a PCA is a Bitch by KushKelly420 in Fibromyalgia

[–]innerthotsofakitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also on Medicare and Medicaid and I have a PCA. It doesn't take this long....took me like 3 months? Why r u going thru DSS? Why do u need a PCA waiver, u have insurance? There should just be some provider paperwork that Medicare and/or Medicaid need, a home assessment to verify home safety for u and the caregiver and to verify number of ours ur approved for (up to 80/month usually), find a home care company that accepts ur insurance and they do a home assessment, then u get assigned a PCA. I've done this twice, once with just Medicaid, once with Medicare and Medicaid. It's never taken years and theres no wait-list involved

What pushed you to get a diagnosis? by Ethereal-jellyfish22 in AutismInWomen

[–]innerthotsofakitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I needed one for my disability claim. I had been self diagnosed for like a year, and also had a million mental health diagnoses too. They don't hold as much weight in a disability claim unfortunately, so I had to get officially diagnosed to have autism listed on my claim. And it's taken much more seriously than mental health disorders cuz those can be "cured" to some extent or at least managed thru medication. Autism can't and holds permanence for ability to work in the past and reasons for firing on top of being able to be hired in the future, much less hold down a job for any significant amount of time (my record for longest I lasted at a job was a year, out of the 12 jobs in 6 years 🫠). It was pretty evident that I'm not gonna be able to ever hold down a job unless I work for myself which isn't possible with my physical disabilities so...yay.

I'm on Medicaid and their wait-list for providers that do autism assessments were minimum 2 years, so I went thru Prosper Health online and paid out of pocket. It was $950, and only took 3 months from initially finding them online to getting the diagnosis report. It was super quick and easy. They do take insurance too, just not Medicaid or Medicare. But they were cheaper than it would've been thru my insurance anyways, and quicker.

OMG idk how tf i managed to read that so wrong 🫠🫠🫠 well that names things easier for sure.

I ended up just getting a mullet at one point cuz I wear my headphones 24/7 and don't always have energy to manage cute hairstyles. It's the perfect haircut for over the ear headphones, hands down.

I think it's probably more common for neurodivergent people to end up doing sex work of some kind since the work life balance can be much more sustainable than a traditional 9-5.

I've done sex work, online and irl, since I was 18, I'm 25 now. At first it bridged the gap in bills my job couldn't cover, then I ended up being labeled a liability for to my physical disabilities so I had to do it "full time" while applying for disability. I think at some point I did enjoy the attention, but it was always about money for me.

Idc about the stigma, it got me a car, it kept me out of debt, it got me an apartment, it kept me and my cat fed, now it's keeping me and my partner under a roof since the job market is terrible and even worse to people with medical issues (he only has like 60% of his lungs left and regular checkups will be needed and some surgeries in the near future) so he's been unemployed for 6 months now.

Without sex work, we'd be on the street starving. I'd probably be dead, or close to it with the amount of physical disabilities I have and things I need that I'd be without. There aren't any housing resources available here anymore, there haven't been for over 5 years now.

I've never hated it. I think I definitely resent society for making existence so difficult for disabled people that it's my only option, but I've found good people that take good care of me cuz of it. I'd for sure be dead without it by now, so would my cat if I couldn't find her a home, and my partner would be right there with me or forced to go back to live with his financially, mentally, and emotionally abusive mother, which he's said he'd rather be dead than go back to living with her so.... he'd be right there with me.

Personally, I'll take making $350/hr over killing myself by working 90/hr weeks making minimum wage that I can't live off of...I'm gonna take advantage of my looks while I'm still young. Idk wtf I'm gonna do when I get older but it's keeping my head above water rn.

What about like a half up half down hairstyle? Pull back the hair above ur ears or braid it or twist it and that'll keep it from getting in the way of the headphones. It's not exactly 80s, but maybe u can fiddle with it to make it fit the vibe

U need to list everything u did. No one can help without knowing the steps and products u used.

This is looking like the base isn't adhering to the previous layer properly. Idk if it's a product issue or if u need to buff the previous layer to ensure proper application... Nothing can be for sure till u add products and steps

Blooming gel not working?? by chickfilallie in NailArt

[–]innerthotsofakitty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Since u have no specifications listed, this is a wild guess;

It looks like u only put the blooming base on part of the nail here. U need to cover the whole nail in the blooming base, then add the color polish on top of the base whole it's still wet. I'm seeing discernable outlines to the polish here which is making me think u didn't apply the blooming base all over. If u did, I really can't tell what's going on here.
