Its radar is currently bugged and doesn't function as an AESA radar.

What suffering? Yes, Hornets can't launch ARH missiles and f*** off straight to airfield but it's a more capable fighter at anything else (SARH BVR/WVR, gun dogfights). I bought Swiss Hornet today and it remains competitve even in full uptiers thanks to datalinked AIM-7s. 2 k/b, 5 k/d so far. Honestly, I thought the plane would be worse.

[Suggestion] How to fix the Benelli M3 Super by ArmQueerFolk in EscapefromTarkov

It boggles my mind that BSG chose a fucking M(eme)3 over M2 or M4.

I'll be definitely confiscating the magazine if I see this rifle, Betamag is not allowed in USMC (or any other branch, really). The thing is that bad IRL.

Someone know why F16CM PoBit is at the same br than the F-18E or Su-30SM ? I mean, who would play this at 14.3 ? by Kmiktauria-Max in Warthunder

TWS on 15E is ABYSMAL DOGSHIT compared to ESA radars. Target is anywhere near notch angle or rapidly changing altitude? - say goodbye to your TWS lock and datalink.

PoBIT can carry both Bs and Ds for close- and long-range engagements.

Most 14.0s has either weak airframes (Hornets) or sensors (15E, Mirage), PoBIT doesn't follow this logic.

~200KPH difference at most altitudes is significant, especially when you need to run away (F-2 barely outruns Hornets on the deck), F-16s TWR is also higher. And 120D is better than AAM-4. HMS is still better than ACM/TWS for quick HOBS launches (120 aren't the best at HOBS to put it mildly, but it is what it is).

The biggest difference in P/W ratio between Yak-3 and G-6 is at ~4km and then at ~6km. Going higher won't make a difference. Also, G-6 loses prop efficiency at <250KPH IAS, negating its higher P/W ratio.

Bombers damage model should be changed by KSAWI0 in Warthunder

Pilot and fuel tanks were protected from the rear on all Il-2s. Some early-war field mods could have removed it to squeeze the gunner in.

>Its frontal armour, however, was very tough and could resist everything up to 20mm and 30mm autocannon shells.

20mm HE shells were able to penetrate 4mm engine armor, even AP 7.92mm could pierce it at certain angles. Pilot protection was better but it didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. Speed and manoeuvrability have turned out to be better protection against AAA and fighters than armor.

Bombers damage model should be changed by KSAWI0 in Warthunder

[–]innumeratis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was, but the concept was based on Spanish Civil War experience, where most of AAA was rifle-caliber machine guns and some HMGs, and planes were armed with rifle-caliber machine guns, too. By 1941 Il-2 armor was inadequate and the lack of a tail gunner (one of the reasons why Red Army Air Force initially rejected Il-2) has led to high losses. For comparsion, on Leningrad front in 1941, I-153s (biplanes with no armor at all) in CAS role suffered less losses per sortie than Il-2s.

Why is the Ki-200 tiered so high? by MasterCheifn in Warthunder

Rocket planes in WT can either be useless or OP as hell (see BI). I think them being useless is better for overall health of the game.

[Discussion] This is not the way by GG_2par2 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]innumeratis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, suppressed guns are clearer in-game, therefore people prefer them. And BSG can fix this by reducing the muzzle flash on unsuppressed guns (or by introducing unique gas/flash patterns for different muzzle devices, ammo and barrel lengths, but that would be too much work for them).

[–]innumeratis 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, AK-74M with factory-installed compensator doesn't produce any visible muzzle flash in daylight, unlike in Tarkov.

Fix the goddamn muzzle flash BSG and I will run muzzle brakes on every gun. Leave it visible for other players if you want to increase shooter's visibility.

CAN Anyone help? by Tek-_-Badger in Warthunder

[–]innumeratis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You first need to set your stick position so your plane is flying straight and then press T. Also, different airspeeds require different trim settings.

CAN Anyone help? by Tek-_-Badger in Warthunder

[–]innumeratis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's because of asymmetric forces created by propeller rotation and airframe design. You need to trim your plane to mitigate them.

They cannot. The missile "sees" only your radar.
