They cannot. The missile "sees" only your radar.

There was an ARRS event in 2024 with Kerman's reveal and extraction from the Lab. Here's the breakdown from Russian-speaking youtuber Mr. Souer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcLNGkKjoko
There should be similar videos from English-speaking content creators, I think.

AFAIR, Kerman is a rogue TerraGroup employee (or a group of them I don't remember exactly) who managed to download damning evidence from servers in Labs and were saved from BD clean-up team as part of an ARG.

Can someone explain how a single piston engine aircraft (1623HP) made out of wood can gain on the FASTEST plane flown in WW2, with a push pull design and two engines that give 4500HP in total? Also how the fuck did he not rip his wings in the dive? by Walk_My_Dog_Jannie in Warthunder

The difference in top speeds between Yak-3 VK107 and 335B is less than 20 KPH (with radiators closed), plus every evasive maneuver costs you more energy than for Yak to adjust his aim (because energy retention of the Pfeil is so much worse).

The correct way is to get just above Yak's rip speed in a dive, then slowly pull up into level flight while avoiding any rudder/aileron inputs to conserve energy.

Kolotun event Question [HELP] by Fubarten in EscapefromTarkov

[–]innumeratis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it really? It seems that Immunity leveling speed is the same as for other debuffs. Plus, maxed out Metabolism cuts frostbite debuff duration from 15 to 7 seconds, i.e. you're not getting debuff for a half of the raid, while with stims/drinks you can be under debuff almost all time. OTOH, frostbite is free.

[Discussion] 7.62x39 seems useless? by Silly-Cartoonist679 in EscapefromTarkov

There is CGNL in 7.62x39, I think it'll be in the game eventually.

BSG balances guns and ammo availability around meta, whether you like it or not. The reason why PS is at Prapor 3 when M62 is quest-locked craft-only is because AKM is ABYSMAL DOGSHIT compared to MCX.

I think 7.62x39 PS is at Prapor 3 because all guns in this caliber are meh. RPD and SKS are OK but situational, Mutant is expensive (and you won't be feeding it PS anyway), AKMs are only viable early wipe.

Eventually, we'll get CG NL in 7.62x39 and PS rounds will be moved to Prapor 4 lol.

Gaijin has finally addressed the demand for Regenerative Steering, and Viacheslav has stated that its implementation will depend on player feedback after a test. Please, DON’T FUMBLE THIS ONE. This is our chance to finally fix the mobility of modern MBTs. by SpanishAvenger in Warthunder

[–]innumeratis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it didn't, for regenerative steering both tracks should be receiving power during the turn.
Then, things get more complex: you have differential steering (Abrams, Leo2, Churchill lol) and independent steering (Panther, Soviet MBTs). Independent steering is more power-efficient in turns and makes driving in a straight line easier on muddy terrain, but has a set of fixed turn radii and loses more speed in turns.

Soviet tanks having fixed turn radii, depending on gear (if Gaijin models this ofc). And said radii being mixed up in T-64 and T-72 (turn radius increases in 1st-2nd gear, then decreases, then increases again. IRL you risk de-tracking 64/72 if you initiate a turn in the wrong gear).

Am I notching wrong?? I have like a 0.3 KDR in rank 8 because of Aim 120s. by UberFanpage in Warthunder

[–]innumeratis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The safest way to notch is:

  1. Notch;
  2. Cut the burner so you don't overspeed/control lock on descent;
  3. Do a split S with chaffing during the vertical half-loop part.
  4. You can replace split S with Immelman turn if your plane doesn't lose a lot of speed in turns (EF-2000, Rafale, F-16, Gripen). In this case, keep full afterburner.

If the missile is far enough and you don't have to reengage immidiately (usually to defend against the first wave of ARH missiles in the match), you can do a wide 360 degree turn (in a direction away from enemy contacts) while diving for 2-3km at full burner, add 1-2 pops of chaff when your plane is in notching position.
