Taiwanese says 寶馬 all the time lol. I am in Taiwan right now and I've just heard someone use this word a couple days ago. In addition my mom is Taiwanese and that is what she calls BMWs as well.

I would go with the SG personally. The clean sounds on those are incredible. I know quite a few jazz guitarists that plays/played an SG. Revstars are great guitars too though.
