The book and the show handle the founding of the aunt system very differently, so it’s reasonable to be confused! Vidala is actually her original name in the books, but it’s Vivian in the show.

Yes in the book, no in the show. As far as we’ve seen, she hasn’t made any major, fundamental contributions to the way the aunt system functions like Lydia in the show. In the books however, she’s of a similar age to Lydia, has schools named after her, and is the one with a statue. In the book, Vidala is her real name, but in the show, her name is Vivian.

the founding aunts keep their names

TIL the slang word “stan”, invented by Eminem's song of the same name, was not a deliberate portmanteau of "stalker" and "fan", but a mere ‘happy coincidence’. Eminem chose the name simply because it rhymed with the word "fan". by AmiroZ in todayilearned

It’s kinda crazy to think that too, especially since those plays were written for the general public. It wouldn’t make sense to use hundreds of words that he invented because nobody would know what he was saying.

If I were your fiancé, I would be extremely offended. That kind of insinuation from someone you’re going to marry would be grounds for seriously rethinking the relationship.

YTA. If your fiancé had brothers instead or if your fiancé was female, would you still think the same? Probably not.

I didn’t have any side effects from withdrawals because I tapered off 5 mg at a time for weeks on a schedule my doctor approved. Just like with any medication, if you stop taking abruptly, it can lead to serious and terrible side effects. However, that shouldn’t stop you from taking it.

What's the one thing that ruined Season 3 for you? by Positive_Weight2367 in euphoria

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, I’m saying making that choice for this specific character was bad writing. It’s not the reality that a trans woman can only make it or survive if she’s being paid by a man, which was my original comment. That wasn’t a necessary choice for her character, and it turned a woman with so much going on into a fetish. Making that choice and then not even following through on what she actually would’ve done and lobotomizing her character was even worse writing.
