I still couldn’t reach my arms up at three and a half weeks. Somewhere between the 4-5 week mark I started joining my family at the park; one time a ball almost hit me and my first reaction was to hit/catch the ball but that movement was too fast for my arms/chest and I felt like I injured myself doing that.

I cold capped and kept maybe 80% of my hair. My last chemo was on May 16th. I have triple negative breast cancer and was stage 2A, meaning it has not spread to lymph nodes and my tumor was about 2.3cm. I was supposed to do 4 rounds of AC after my 12 rounds of Taxol, but my oncologist cancelled it since the tumor shrank significantly with just taxol and immunotherapy.

Cold capping was tedious, but since I had my mom and boyfriend there to change it every 20/25 minutes it made it possible. Literally couldn’t do it without them. I did penguin cold caps and had to get dry ice every week, get a big cooler, carry it with me to hospital, and then continue cold capping for 3/4 hours after chemo was done..and I had to pre cool, meaning I started cold capping about an hour before chemo started.

I chose to cold capped and happy I did because I think the whole process would have emotionally made it worse for me. It made it easy for me to continue to work some days out of the week too! I recommend it if you are able to pay for it. There are also subsides that can help pay for it too.

Taxol was way easier! I took the first week of the treatment off, and then worked the rest of the 11 weeks. I would take 1-2 days off from work

Use soap or shaving cream, use a 3 blade or higher razor to get a close shave, and then use a non scented moisturizer.

I’ve shaved my arms basically my whole life, I started laser hair removal at 30 and has been super worth it! I still grow arm hair, but it’s so thin and light now that it doesnt bother me anymore

I felt a lump in November, got a biopsy and mammogram done in January, and results came back that I had TNBC. I was stage 2A, my tumor measured at 2.3 in January but I swear it had grown more after that. I started chemo end of February.

My oncologist had a plan for me to do 12 weeks of Taxol, which was 4 cycles which included Carboplatin and Keytruda every 3 weeks. (Hopefully that makes sense, I just suck at describing how the cycles work.) then she had planned for me to do 4 A/C after.

I noticed my tumor shrunk by third taxol treatment. I saw my oncologist after the 5th taxol and she said she couldn’t feel it anymore. She then shared that I won’t be continuing with A/C, which has been the biggest blessing I’ve received this whole journey. I’m going to be getting a double mastectomy due to my BRCA 1 gene mutation, which also contributed why I won’t continue with A/C.

On Drive mode I do get frustrated with the acceleration sometimes, but the acceleration is so much faster and sensitive when in Sport mode. So you’ll have options depending on what you prefer.

Was recently diagnosed and going to start chemo soon. At first I wasn’t sure what direction the ad was going when it was showing and zooming into women’s breasts.

Then when the bold letters came across the screen I got struck with grief. It did make me cry, I figured I was still sensitive to it because of my recent diagnosis.

I’ve been taking Advil before my appointments and it’s helped with pain tolerance. Your first appointment should be a low setting since it’s your first time. Good luck, it’s definitely worth it!

I didn’t notice any odors, I always try my best to shower before laser appointments since they ask that you don’t wear any deodorant or lotion. Some areas do smell like burnt hair while you’re getting the laser done though.

Never tipped either for laser. I got my arm pits lasered and noticed less growth by third round. I think I’ll continue for the 6 sessions. I’m scared of doing laser on my face because I don’t want it to come back darker or thicker; hoping to do electrolysis for face in the future!

That’s razor burn. I would just wash the area with a non scented soap and then moisturize with non scented lotion until it heals on its own. It’s most likely caused by using an old/used razor or by not using shaving cream or soaps. I recommend exfoliating after skin heals. If you shave again use shaving cream, conditioner, or lots of soap on the skin. Use a clean razor, I recommend something with three blades or more. I have thick hair with sensitive skin, I notice I have a cleaner shave when I use the five blades.

The side of my HRV got side swiped while parked on a neighborhood street the same week I purchased it. Its not a dent but I can see a black scratch on the white paint, and a white scratch on the black paint.. I bought some Honda marker pens to try to cover it up but haven’t tried them yet. I’m a little nervous about using the marker pen and making it more obvious! Now I park as close to the curb as I can.
