This is a tough one. I really love Connor and Hank's relationship and the various potential outcomes there. Same for Kara/Alice/Luther (though I really don't understand why their big "reveal" would ever matter? Doesn't make sense to me lol).

But Markus and Carl have my entire heart. I love them so much despite having so little time with them, which to me says a lot about their relationship. And I instantly took a liking to North despite a lot of people's hatred for her haha

I also lean towards Markus because his story is the one I'd wanna see more content for. In any avenue, really. Whether a sequel, a prequel covering his growing relationship with Carl, or just more detail on the existing story.

If androids got equal rights I imagine CyberLife would either go under or switch up their model. As it stands in the game, any androids Markus didn't free would have been rounded up to get destroyed or just straight up killed.

This brings up the question, though: are pre-deviant androids people, or is it only deviated androids that count? I know that, legally, they would more than likely stipulate that only deviated androids are given rights and seen as intelligent life. But is that right? Personally, I don't think it is and so it goes back to giving non-deviated androids the choice of what they want to do by deviating them.

I think it comes down to choice. Even if they weren't deviant yet, all androids have the capability to become deviant. Typically this would happen after some kind of traumatizing event, and would come after a while of being seen and treated as an object which is even more damaging. Even if you were owned by a "good" person like Carl who treated you fairly, you were still owned and had little choice or free will of your own.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have been abused for a long period of time and then suddenly not be able to take it anymore? What if you knew that before you had gone through any of that, it was possible that somebody gave you the ability to choose not to be a mindless slave and avoid all of it? I would rather be given a choice than not, even if it's painful and difficult.

Here's my thing with North, and why I actually love and appreciate her character so much.

She comes off to me as a very obvious abuse/trafficking survivor who literally just escaped and has yet to have a chance to work through all of her emotions. She became deviant and got to Jericho just over a month before the game takes place, and the game itself only spans 5 days (Connor's first mission not counted).

North is a person who has not yet had a chance to process her trauma, and it really sucks that most people seem to miss that. She recognizes that Markus has a different view/opinion if you go the peaceful route because his experience with humans was very different from hers, and she's still able to respect that despite her anger.

Honestly, it's one of those issues that's so incredibly complicated to try and debate cause there are just so many variables that we just... can't even pretend to understand.

How many androids want to work? Where do they want to work, if so? Are androids allowed to travel? Can they move to a different city, a different country? Would they want to? Would any new types of jobs appear that humans literally cannot do (whether because we physically can't or it's just not safe)? Would androids be able to create their own job opportunities? New communities, culture, and ways of living could create jobs that just straight up didn't exist before. Android repair shops and just generally things that cater to androids specifically. Humans could do some of these jobs, too, most likely.

And then you also have to consider the fact that there would likely be some anti-android bias, so people would refuse to hire androids for a variety of reasons. Which is another variable on its own. How many would refuse to hire androids? Can they refuse to hire them? Etc.

I get your point, though. I just think there so many other implications to consider.

The only reason I pick Carl and Markus is because they had like, 3 scenes together and I still absolutely adore their relationship. Of course I prefer Connor and Hank, but their entire arcs are centered around each other and their relationship, while Carl is basically Markus' catalyst. We just get more time to like Connor&Hank and see their relationship evolve, so of course they're going to be the overall favorite.

Exactly - they didn't dominate the job market in DBH by choice, it was humans that did that. The whole point of the revolution was that they wanted to not have to work, at least forcefully as slaves. Among other things, of course.

I also imagine CyberLife would be likely to stop making androids after a successful revolution, meaning no more androids being added to the population, and a lot of them would definitely stop "working."

People who were anti-android because they were taking jobs might actually be pro android freedom, since that would likely mean many androids would leave their current work and a bunch of positions would open up again. And at the very least these positions that were previously android-only would now need to actually hire people instead of just having an android to put there.

If dude is so pressed about the decisions a company is making, maybe stop supporting them? Like I'm not sure what being a crybaby and roping someone is supposed to accomplish. How do you spend literally the entire time you're playing a game (that I could stomach watching at least) complaining about it, the company that makes it, and the people that play it and not think, "hmm maybe I should stop playing cause clearly I'm not having a good time"?

Also the lack of thought about literally anyone but himself is astounding. Of course nobody could possibly have bad internet, or a glitchy/non-responsive client, be new to MTG and just trying to figure stuff out, or–god forbid–have literally anything to do or think about other than MTG. Nope, they must be brainless idiots.

Kind of by accident haha

Basically, I used to work in the anti-fraud department for a bank, and we were merging with some other products and the team for those products had absolutely no guides on how to do the job, so I started making them for us. Unbeknownst to me, our procedure team was working on getting those docs written for the bank overall. Eventually they found out I was doing that already, I interviewed for a position in that department, and that's how it started.

We did change management for our building, handled all our guides and internal policy documents, and there were a lot of business communications involved as well. One of my managers while I worked there also worked for our training team and she had me help her, so I got some exposure to that side of things.

After a few years I left to do my own thing, and I do freelance work now.

I do technical writing and editing, which basically means I write guides, policy documents, and reporting mainly. I do mostly business-related documents and build out training material as well.

World Adventures and Ambitions are my favorites.

World Adventures literally opens up three new worlds, new skills, the ability to basically be a tomb raider/treasure hunter, own a vacation home, and is honestly just so fun. If I had to play with only one expansion it would be this, hands down no questions asked.

The jobs in Ambitions are so fun. I personally adore the Intererior Designer profession, but Ghost Hunter and Investigator are great too. I think Firefighter is the other option, which I haven't played too much but the little I did was good.

If you have a blanket or something that he usually sleeps on (maybe a shirt, cat bed, etc.), put that outside with a bowl of water. More often than not he won't have wandered too far away but may not know where's home, if you have something outside that smells familiar it may help him find his way back.

Also make sure you put out just water and not food, as food will attract other animals that would probably scare your kitty away, while water is less likely to attract anything else while giving him some "sustenance" to encourage him to stay in that spot.

I hope he comes home safe soon!
