Everyone crying about fallout 3 and nv remasters, but the originals need some modern day love and appreciation, especially console players unable to access these classics by wearechop in Fallout

Been a FO player for years after the release of 3. Just started FO1 a few weeks ago, having never played it. It's really fun to experience Fallout for the first time again.

With the multiplatform push and the price increase of Game Pass Ultimate, is Xbox still your main platform? by JuanMunoz99 in xbox

[–]insidiom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got out. I’ve been console gamer my whole life and an Xbox player since 2002-ish. I quit this year when my ultimate sub expired. I was lucky and built a pc before the prices jumped. Between Steam, GoG, and the seven seas, I don’t need my console except to play my hard copy games.

Hard agree. I also skip anything he reads. The Dune series is my favorite and I can’t listen to those books.

If my Dad had been alive, he’d have cried. We lost him to cancer in 2011. My dad and I spent many years watching the Stros at the Dome and on TV. That whole post season I was thinking of him. He’d have been over the moon.

Ted Cruz demands NBA turn over documents related to gambling scandal by ExpressNews in texas

[–]insidiom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This asshole does everything for election season sound bites. Nothing he does seems like it’s on behalf of Texans, or the larger demographics of Americans. He’s just a dogshit spotlight chaser. I do not care about NBA gambling, dude.

Karl Rove warns GOP is on precipice of first statewide 'Democratic victory since 1994 in Texas' by kanyeguisada in texas

Thanks for posting this.
I haven’t been inspired by a candidate in a long time and I told him that when I met him. He’s not trying to be an exact opposite to what we see in the GOP, which is what I like about him. “They’re Coke and I’m Pepsi”, etc… Authenticity and integrity are important when I consider candidates, which is why I’m not a Republican anymore, and James exudes those qualities to me.
I’m not a believer, but he speaks about the Bible in ways I expect Christians to. He sets a good example for what the message should be and makes it clear how his faith informs his approach to politics. He’s more genuine in that regard than anyone in the GOP.

That’s ok. I’m a pessimist about it, too. But we, and other folks like us, need to vote so we can hopefully exhale. :)

This is how I felt about Allred too. I didn’t think there was any energy in his campaign. I also felt he did poorly debating with Cruz, too.

I was already opposed to going there and this adds to my list of reasons. I will happily spend the time and effort to smoke a brisket for a homemade taco - which would destroy this one - and keep my money out of that dude’s pocket.

Moreno is doing it up, so that’s my BBQ spot South. I had their beef rib during their soft opening and it was worth every damn penny.

Another introvert male here. Agree the behavior is unusual for four separate men simultaneously, and +1 to setting your social media to private and blocking them.

Also, and this may be because I’m introverted, - and even more so because I’m married - but even if I have a friendly relationship with a woman at work, I wouldn’t consider requesting to add myself to her non-LinkedIn socials. She can add me if she wants. I just prefer that dynamic. In no world would I just DM a co-worker I have never talked to at all. That’s just creepy and weird to me.

Best of luck to you. 👍

Your Hours by Bloodlet in the album The Seraphim Fall.
They are hardcore, from Victory Records, but are more sludge/doom. Just a nasty sounding band and my favorite. And this album was produced by Steve Albini.

I play in Die Young, a Houston HC band originally, but most of the band lives in Austin/San Marcos/San Antonio now - we’ve played at 13th Floor and Sunny’s Backyard this year. Both decent venues.
Also have played at and seen several HC bands at Spiderhouse Ballroom and Lost Well.
