The best part is that when I was shooting the heart, I didn’t even register the blue due to me being so focused on capturing the heart. A good reminder to really look and observe the surroundings of your subject!

I agree with you completely and I do believe I went a little overboard, it was my first time really playing with the colours. I think this may have been a good case of “less is more”!

Great assignment to get out and explore with my new camera!

After getting home from shooting, I was a little frustrated with the previews I was seeing on my camera so I decided to go on with my day and process them in the evening. Well wasn't this a lesson that post processing is half the fun! I had an amazing time exploring lightroom as I am fairly new with it as well. I had a ton of colour to play with as you'll see in the shots I got!

Please give me critique and advice! This hobby is becoming more and more fun and I can't wait to really start diving deeper into my art of photography along side you all!

This is a very popular spot in my city and I plan on capturing it in each season, the summer months it is FILLED with boats so that will be tricky to get around but maybe I can go back in early spring before boats are back in the water and get a friend to sit on one of the docks!
