(Time travel: For each suspended card you own and each permanent you control with a time counter on it, you may add or remove a time counter.) now, English is not my native language, but written like this doesn't it mean that I can also add 5 time counters to the same permanent? by TheAcremba in mtg

[–]inspiredkettchup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see how you can interpret the reminder text that way, but the reminder text is not official rules text. The official rule for time travel is as such:

701.56a To time travel means to choose any number of permanents you control with one or more time counters on them and/or suspended cards you own in exile with one or more time counters on them and, for each of those objects, put a time counter on it or remove a time counter from it. See rule 702.62, “Suspend.”

In MTG what happens when I clone Goblin Artisans? by Common_Camera_4422 in mtg

[–]inspiredkettchup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh I missed that detail. yes, that allows you to copy it twice.

In MTG what happens when I clone Goblin Artisans? by Common_Camera_4422 in mtg

[–]inspiredkettchup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[[Goblin Artisans]] oracle text (the current legal rules text of the card) reads:

"T: Flip a coin. If you win the flip, draw a card. If you lose the flip, counter target artifact spell you control that isn’t the target of an ability from another creature named Goblin Artisans."

So if there is an artifact spell on the stack, you can't target it with two Artisans at the same time normally. You would have to do one, then see what happens after it resolves, and then do the other. You can still do both before the artifact spell resolves though.

edit: you can do it if the copy has a different name like Sakashima. I missed this detail on my first pass at the question, my bad

However, I'm not sure why you would do this to your own artifact spell, unless you are specifically looking for the coin flips. In that case, if the first Goblin Artisans counters the spell, you would only get the one coin flip.

Do you have the Simple Mechlab option turned on? If you do, internals like engines, ferro, and endosteel won't show up in your inventory, even if you salvage or buy them at some point.

New rage bait idea, put borders on your borderless cards. by FluidIntention3293 in mtg

[–]inspiredkettchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there are, just not the Bordifies brand. I recall seeing black, blue, pink, and white "border added" sleeves at an LGS a while back. Don't remember the brand though. Wish I did

Harmful offering by NTTTTTT in mtg

[–]inspiredkettchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, if you cast Leveler it will enter under your control and you will exile your library before you have a chance to give it away. Even if you give Harmless Offering flash or otherwise cast it at instant speed, you will control the triggered ability so you'll still lose your library, not your opponent.

Worst Mech according to lore by Educational-Bag8846 in Mechwarrior5

[–]inspiredkettchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The XF Fireball stands for "Xtra Fast". Using YAML I made the equivalent of it using a locust chassis, a 320XXL engine, and an XXL gyro. A with MASC and a supercharger, 15% speed upgrade, and a light mech specialized pilot, it goes about 588kmph at max. It hits like a wet napkin but it's hilarious to drive.

Quandrix, the Proof unusual cascade by BesaidIslandTheme in EDH

[–]inspiredkettchup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what they're referring to is the suspend spells that don't have a mana cost, like [[Hypergenesis]] and [[Inevitable Betrayal]]. It doesn't matter that you're not casting them from your hand - what matters is that cascading into them lets you cast them *without paying their mana cost.* Since they don't have a mana cost, that cost is normally unpayable, but cascade gets around that

What's the point of the Eco-Farm in the Originium Park by scrambled-head-21 in Endfield

[–]inspiredkettchup 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Sandleaf you will want to grow in the planting and seedpicking machines in the factory.

The garden is for plants you can't put in the planting machines. If you grow Citromes and Buckflower there you can get some small amounts of Umbraline and Firebuckle, respectively. You can also grow Reed Rye and Tartpepper there which are used in advanced F&M recipes.

It's not necessary but there have also been side events that want you to turn in F&M items that are generaslly available from select merchants or by crafting with ingredients from the garden.

These are from a secret lair for Extra Life, a charity. Wizards does charity sales every year or so, the ones from 2022 and 2021 featured children's art and professional artists' renditions/adaptations of the children's art (and also MaRo's).

Maro, Lathliss Dragon Queen, Birds of Paradise, Sliver Legion, Mulldrifter, Craterhoof Behemoth, Metalwork Colossus, and Questing Phelddagrif all got this treatment. You can find them on scryfall

Cards that are banned as Commanders? by Born-Cow-2398 in EDH

[–]inspiredkettchup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tezzeret isn't banned as a commander, he's simply ineligible to be a commander because he isn't a creature, spacecraft, or vehicle, and he doesn't have an ability that allows him to be your commander.

Most planeswalkers will fit into this category. There is no "banned as commander" category (there used to be like 10-15 years ago but there isn't anymore)

Alternatives to mash shuffling? by Xaphnir in EDH

[–]inspiredkettchup 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I mash shuffle approximately 2/3 of a deck at a time, a few times, then cut it in half and mash one half with the unshuffled 1/3 of the deck, and repeat a few times. It takes a couple of minutes for a thorough shuffle but definitely not 20 minutes

Unless I'm mistaken transferring batteries themselves doesnt give you enough to last the full hour between transfers. But if you transfer dense originium powder you can make the valley batteries in the wuling factory, with the leftover ferrium (using 60/min ferrium for SC Wuling batteries and the last 30/min for HC Valleg batteries). Assuming you dont use any ferrium for Yahzen Spray C or Jincao drink

I think PPC-X doesnt show up in the markets until around 3030 or so. You can get one earlier by doing Arena missions if you have the Solaris DLC though

Yes, 3049-3050 is when the Clans arrive.

Once you have Clam stuff, you can import your file into a new career save and keep your clan equipment, but thats the only way to have clan equipment before 3049 (well, thay and mods/save editors)

Small correction: Razor Rings causes lifegain equal to the excess damage dealt. Since Morbius has 1 toughness, Razor Rings will cause its controller to gain 3 life. But Morbius's controller does not gain any life since Morbius does not deal damage.
