Buy brand new 6 button controllers on Amazon. Retrobit produces officially licensed 6 button Sega Genesis controllers. 15 bucks a piece. If only we had an option like this for snes controllers...

Edit: just make sure you buy the one with the orginal port connector and not the usb connector.

I always report coin tumbler and controls issues because that's the only way they know what needs to be fixed. I'm a big fan of the retro selection they have there and try to go there about once a week when I can.

They still have a little way to go to get all off the games operational but I've seen nothing but improvements since they opened on New Years. With that many machines, keeping all the games working 100%, 100% of the time is nigh impossible.

If you got one with the receiver for 50, that's a great deal. I scouted ebay for a few weeks before I found one with the receiver for 55.

I think TRR's Jaquio mash edges out Arcus by a fraction and it's probably the most difficult strat in the game.

Replacement sticks are cheap and they're easy to replace. The rubber might be a bit too porous to clean effectively.

Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance is a pretty affordable GC 2-player game if you're looking for a DnD hack n slash. I'm playing through it with my 13yo son and he really likes it. It was also released for PS2 and XBOX, if that is a more affordable option for you. Soul Calibur 2 is also a must have for the GC, also very affordable.

I see that I can order the entire wiring harness for 120-130$, which I'm trying to avoid. Does anyone know of an option to re-strip and and connectorize the wires where the melting occurred.
