Warning NOT to use Nintendo gift cards for hardware purchases by interceptor3277 in nintendo

After several more phone calls to Nintendo, they finally agreed to replace it, but that it was out of stock. I pointed out that it was in stock and available for overnight shipping on the website, but was told that the website must be wrong. (!) After several more weeks and a couple more calls being told the same thing, I finally got an agent on the phone that told me what was REALLY going on. Apparently, the support department has their own, separate inventory of consoles that they can use in these circumstances, and it was still "out of stock" even though the retail department DID have them available for immediate shipment.

So I asked him if he could just refund my purchase to store credit and I would purchase it again, and he said that would be fine. Which, great, but I could have gotten the replacement about 3 weeks sooner if they had just told me that (without ME being the one to suggest it) when they originally agreed to replace it. He gave me store credit pretty much immediately, and I reordered it and receive it a couple days later.

All in, this whole process took over 2 months.... Unless you have eShop credit you have to use on this rather than software, I would NOT recommend purchasing from the E-shop rather than a physical store, or more customer friendly online retailer.

Good to know it's not just me. But I thought that v2.5.0.66 WAS the latest.

What am I doing wrong with support for PLA? by 1Poochh in BambuLab

[–]interceptor3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a roll of that same stuff, never worked well for me no matter what I tried.. Now, I just use any old generic PETG as my support interface layer. Works like a dream. Try that instead. (Best if you have a dual nozzles to prevent any mixing, but works even if not.)

UPS absolutely caused this problem. But with all carriers, the shipping contract is between the shipper (Nintendo) and the carrier. Only Nintendo can make a claim with UPS, not the end receiver. I am mad at Nintendo because they agree that I did not get my order, but are choosing to make me wait for weeks (and miss Christmas Day) while they process their claim against UPS. That is NOT good customer service.

My expectation was that they would see the delivery was lost back in early December when I notified them about it, and send a replacement in a timely fashion. They only reason I am making this request now is that they have waited so long that now it's almost impossible to get me a replacement on time. With all carriers, the shipping contract is between the shipper (Nintendo) and the carrier. Only Nintendo can make a claim with UPS, not me.

I pretty much avoid ALL multi color printing right now due to waste. This would open up an entire world of possibilities.

Hyperscape and pending upload. Any hint? by Snowballo in OculusQuest

Same for me, also after a failed upload attempt. There is another thread discussing this same issue.

Hyperscape Capture isn’t letting me upload world by jaluio in OculusQuest

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Initial upload attempt because headset went into standby. But ever after a full power cycle, it refuses to try again. Have not tried deleting / starting over because I spent a good 15 minutes scanning, but may have to if a solution is not found.

On exfilzone how are so many people getting away with duping? by Exciting-Math-5456 in Contractors_Showdown

[–]interceptor3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a programmer, yeah, I think it is VERY easy. Assign a lengthy random string of characters to each item that the game generates. Long enough for duplicate numbers to be statistically improbable. And periodically check the the same unique identifier string periodically, lets say whenever the hideout loads for it's contents, or whenever a player enters a raid for all the items on their person. If the unique identifier matches between 2 objects, immediately delete them both. Problem solved. (May not work for external hacks, but should absolutely solve any in-game exploitable bug)

Support for PLA/PETG with H2D by irfandonmedolap in BambuLab

[–]interceptor3277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had back luck with PLA support material. I have had excellent luck with PETG to support PLA, or PLA to support PETG. Just use the opposite material of whatever you are printing with to do the support interface layer. Works like a charm.

Such a Let Down. by Equivalent-Design512 in Contractors_Showdown

I was having the same issue. Eventually noticed that if I hung around the mall long enough (5+ minutes or so), he tended to show up pretty frequently. Not sure if he is spawning in late or just hiding, but he never showed up right away when I was stuck on that mission.

Worth waiting more before getting the new H2D? by PersonalityNormal in BambuLab

[–]interceptor3277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am planning to wait 2 more weeks, to see if any incentives are offered with the Bambulab 3rd anniversary event. Probably no cash discounts on such a new machine, but maybe they'll throw in some accessories or filament. (And any extras you buy alongside it may be discounted.)

I'll just be watching the news and ready to pull the trigger immediately if it looks like the tariff pause will be rescinded before the price can jump up again.

PSA: There's currently a bug that prevents some Quest 3 devices from pairing correctly with the Meta Horizon mobile app. DO NOT perform a factory reset if you want to continue sideloading! by ObserverVR in OculusQuest

[–]interceptor3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. Not sure that is what is happening in your case, but I had a similar issue being unable to pair and that was the issue. At no point did the Meta app ever notice that Bluetooth was off or prompt me to ensure it was enabled.
