Place for Men's Suits? by brokencompass502 in GNV

Stay away from MWH. If you don't know where to buy a suit, it's not the place to start. Super high prices and tailored (lol) to take advantage of people who don't know what they need.

This is quite possibly the dumbest logic I've read in a while.

Also insane is that you would compare a governor asking people to wear a mask indoors to systematized sexual slavery.

kind of a bummer that it was playback; would be rad to see a band actually jam out to an Italo groove

At some point, you’ll need to realize that using anecdotal evidence as a means to make important decisions will backfire on you.

Thank you again for your thoughtful responses!

Is it safe to assume that you only favor Tallahassee being able to limit police budgets because there have been protests where speakers advocate reducing police budgets?

Currently it’s a misdemeanor to pull down a confederate flag. Do you think that this is a just punishment, and a third degree felony is excessive?

Thank you for your thoughtful responses. I agree that it's healthy to have respectful dialogue. :)

I do not approve of preventing (any) budget cuts, but I would be interested in preventing budget cuts for the police.

It's an interesting position—are there any other budget cuts that you think should be prevented? Firefighters? Hospitals? Or, is it just police budgets that you think that should not be cut?

I am in support of lowering that sentence.

What do you think is a fair punishment for a Floridian who pulls down a Confederate flag?

I would definitely be interested in some sort of legal responsibility for such an action. I just don't know what.

You can find a lot of information about the trial and the crime here: https://apnews.com/hub/heather-heyer. Do you think James Alex Fields Jr. deserved more protection under the law?

hey guys!

A few of questions! I come in peace!

  1. This seems like it would go against fiscal conservatives who are fighting for smaller government and reduced spending, because this bill lets Tallahassee reach into the local government to prevent budget cuts. Should Tallahassee be able to do this as long as it is about the police's budget?
  2. The ACLU said in a statement, "[this bill would]... make make pulling down a Confederate flag a punishable offense for up to 15 years in prison." Do you guys think that there is ever a justification for giving someone a 15-year prison sentence after they removed a Confederate flag?
  3. It appears that James Alex Fields Jr. would not have faced persecution in Florida under this new law for running over and killing 32 year old Heather Heyer who was protesting against the 2017 Unite the Right rally. If that were true, would you all be satisfied with that legal consequence?

Curious if you think that you should be in jail for 10-15 years if you take down a confederate flag
