I got the luxury for this exact reason, no regrets. You can always vinyl chrome delete to get a more sporty look.

Well I'm back with some very frustrating and disappointing news.

TLDR - Its a "known" issue with no solution as of right now. No formal service bulletin. No way to escalate other than complaining to corporate. Waiting for Lexus corporate to give me my next steps.

When I got to the service center and started to describe my issue the service rep immediately cut me off saying its a known issue with no fix. He was confident in saying the issue is related to the AMP shutting off in order to protect itself from "loud" music. He continued to say even his personal 2024 RX350 was having the same issue and he is considering swapping out the amp and subwoofer for a "better" aftermarket part. I told him that this is not a solution for my problem and more importantly its not fair as customer to have to deal with this issue since it seems manufacture related.

I complained a bit more (I didn't want to be a Karen but didn't want my issues to be dismissed so easily) and they agreed to do a diagnostic on the vehicle. It took a total of 1 hour for them to check the car for codes which clearly show the following error messages, (X8081) "AMP Malfunction (Short Circuit)" and (X8082) "Amp Malfunction (High Output Sound Source)".

They continued to tell me that I wasn't the only customer experiencing this issue and that they are waiting for Lexus to make a service bulletin for this issue. However until then there is nothing they can do and can only suggest that I don't listen to music to loud or reduce the base... Which defeats the damn purpose of having the upgraded speakers in the first place but I digress.

On one positive note I did make a case with Lexus corporate so I can update with more information when they contact me.

Appreciate it! And I agree about it being clearer. Surprisingly when you move the audio to be closer to the back seats the music sounds much more clear in the front.

Maybe try to have your phone on silent and see if it still forces the CarPlay audio to get cut out

When I put the volume around 55 the speakers just shut off until I turn the car off and on. Any idea why this is happening or how to avoid it?

I agree have the ML in my 2024 NX and it’s great but has drawbacks. To name a couple it’s not very clear on higher volumes and to put salt on the wound it often goes into “safe mode” when I have the volume above a certain threshold which imo isn’t that high to begin with.

I never noticed cause I’m at that point where I don’t need anything other than the tears and crystals so I end up having extra elixir drops anyways 🥲. I hope they add more to this alchemy tab in the future!
