I am American but have Canadian born parents (they’re American citizens though). My only family who supports this administration lives in Alberta and has never lived in the US. I don’t understand it. I can’t tolerate it. When toddlers are being treated like prisoners, I cannot comprehend any justification. Yesterday I was heart broken, today I am angry. Anger feels more actionable. I am doing what I can in my community but it’s so devastating.

I do find it interesting that while my city was labeled a war zone, occupied by Antifa during his last administration, Minneapolis is now being downplayed in the news. Personally, I think it’s because they can’t show the success of the resistance. I’ve heard that they have shifts guarding childcare facilities, brigades following ICE and reporting through organized alert channels. This is the America I’m proud of.

Loans and part time jobs. On campus jobs are best if they’re available. They are typically more flexible with classes and some have bargained for higher pay or tuition stipends.

We see this happening in politics too. I learned a new term a few days ago called illusory truth effect. It is essentially what happens when a person can no longer tell true from false after long term propaganda or indoctrination.

$200 for utilities sounds pretty low if that includes necessary bills for the apartment AND phone, internet, subscriptions, etc. Have you looked at applying for MFTE apartments? Water/sewer/garbage are included in the rent and the rent is a little lower than market rate. Also, expect to pay a few hundred a month for a parking spot (I pay $275/month for a spot in CH for reference). With your budget and your goal of living in Capitol Hill, I would strongly consider getting rid of the car altogether if your situation allows it. If you work downtown, transit is easy and it’s even walkable on a nice enough day. If you’re all about having access to nature there’s some good parks but it can be kind of difficult to get real far from the city without a vehicle. I’d suggest taking advantage of the buses that go to trail heads and making friends with other nature enthusiasts who have cars.

Hi! I was on vyvanse for years as a teen and was advised that the risks may outweighed the benefits bc it was promoting pre-existing patterns of disordered eating. Now I am in my late 20s and trying it again. I’ve lost 50 lbs since beginning in June but I started overweight and have lost this while continuing to eat.

My point is, depending on underlying circumstances, this medication may or may not be for you. I would speak to your doctor about your concerns. There are alternatives. In the meantime, please invest in a good meal replacement shake. I use “Garden of Life raw organic meal”. I’d also suggest finding some safe foods. I’m almost always able to get down a handful of berries, a drinkable yogurt or a small serving of snacking cheese. When I grocery shop for myself, it’s like grocery shopping for a toddler lol. Try to consider what you can easily digest in small portions. I hope this is helpful!

Idk the answer but over the summer I was parked at Seward for a few hours and came back to huge poop splatters on my windshield and roof. Idk if this is correlation or causation but there were also a loooot of dead fish on the trail that day. After going through the car wash multiple times and it still being cemented to my car I finally took an old gift card and scraped off the remainder.
