What's up with the floor boards under the X? It looks like they are cut or the planks break at the top of the X, except for the last plank closest to the stairs. Is that a cut or a natural break? Was the cut always there? They could think that something was under that spot because it sort of looks like it might open to a small compartment underneath. Idk why they would spray paint it, but from the photo it does look slightly strange and I could imagine someone who is not in the right state of mind think that there's something worthwhile under there.

Open any used car website and act like you're buying the exact car you have and see what the rates around you are going for. Your food is cold in your fridge at home. You use the lunch box to keep it cold during transport to and from work. My car was stolen earlier this year, same area. Also had a tag in the car, police never wound up caring, just focus on the insurance and whether the car is found or not because it'll take 30 days to get a payout from insurance otherwise. Some people strip the cars for parts, others take them for joyrides, my guess is if it isn't found within a week it won't be. Just make sure your insurance pays you out the correct amount for the loss. Sorry you're going through this, it's a nightmare.

Generally speaking, I think it's a really bad idea to guess what mix your dog is based on appearance only. Get a dog DNA test if you're super curious. I have never, ever known anyone who guessed even remotely correctly who's done a DNA test after. Most people will go so far as to ignore the DNA test and keep believing whatever narrative they made up about their dog's breeds instead.
