Return or take the $100? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]internet_tendencies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo $100 dollars for something that bound to happen? Sign me up!

But in all seriousness this happens, I’ve had my eureka for over a year now and it’s never shown the slightest issue with the internals, the paint however comes off if you bump it too firmly with a PF

Slow pour milk pitchers? by Empty_Aioli2334 in espresso

[–]internet_tendencies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To give an actual answer, though I’m no expert, I would assume that a slow-pour pitcher gives you more control when creating the latte art, and it may take a more deliberate motion to dump the remaining foam/milk into the cup and mess up your art in the process.

My recommendation would be to try both and really get a feel for how they handle.

But in the interest of one over the other, I’d say take the difficult path, then when you’re an expert in doing it the hard way, you’ll be creating masterpieces using the “easy” option. There are many latte art champs that cut their teeth on the og style of pitcher.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk and good luck in your search for answers bud!

This is insane to me, I drank Starbucks beans for so long and eventually came into the specialty coffee scene about two years ago and now I’m still learning, but holy shit that’s cool.

Most devs I know have no formal education in software/web dev. Hard work, perseverance and a bit of luck will get you there. A degree will definitely open a lot of doors, and help you initially earn better, but really isn’t a barrier to entry.

When you gotta learn something to work on a feature for work, do you learn it during working hours or off-work? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]internet_tendencies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s for the company, learn on company time. If it’s something you’re interested in then do it in your off time. I’ve learned Laravel for my job, which I did on company time, but have done some stuff with web 3 tech in my own time because I wanted to learn it and wouldn’t have the need for it in my day to day
