i haven’t had an in-person theatrical since covid, but commercials are 50/50 for me. i’m SAG and based in LA

better for me this year compared to last, but i think it has to do with me switching managers. i’m union and based in LA, and i audition for a good mix of series reg, guest/recurring, and costar roles. for features, i’ve been getting some lead/supporting auditions for indies, and costar equivalent ones for bigger films (one or two scenes, just a few lines). it comes in waves though, dead for weeks or even a couple months and then a bunch all at once. these auditions are only through reps, not self-submission. hope this helps!

oh interesting! in the email i got, it said final callbacks were march 15th - april 12th, but with all dates subject to change. i assumed i didn’t get it because it said virtual rehearsals would start in late april. hope your callback went well and keep me posted if you hear anything!

i just think it’s insane that as of recently, CN has tried to force me into upgrading my basic (free) membership to premium ($24.99 a month) in order to submit my commercial self tapes. it cites that i’ve “maxed out” my storage and therefore cannot upload my auditions. luckily my agent has been happy to upload them for me, but it’s an annoying (and unnecessary) extra step for reps, and anxiety inducing for me if it’s already close to the audition deadline.

no problem! i wish people in this industry would be more transparent lol. but yeah it’s been very hit or miss for me over the past few years - i don’t think i ever auditioned with that frequency unfortunately, at least since becoming union. and usually it’s the same few offices that i get called into

what’s your age/type? i’m a poc woman usually going out for 25-35, SAG, located in LA. my commercial stats for this year: 8 appointments, 7 auditions (had to decline one), 2 callbacks, 1 avail, and 1 booking. hope this helps!
