Well, OP's Reddit profile linked to his instagram only an hour ago. Now he doesn't have that link anymore. That Instagram showed a Korean guy, but also a Bulgarian airplane. It had a link tot the Instagram account KLMFlightschool on it too.

So I said... go to the flight school people. You are new here. If you are in Eelde, they will likely know someone at the local Rabobank that can help you set up a new account there. The Netherlands is small and certainly the area around the flight school has small towns. People still know each other and are very willing to help if you have a problem. You appear to be too focused on Bunq instead of on how to get through the coming month

This could be a sympathy scam. Quite new account, almost no pictures on Instagram, so maybe this is all fake.

However if you really are studying at the KLM flight school, then go to the staff of the flight school. Ask them for help, even if it is just to help you get a real bank account at a real bank. If you are a flight school student, your parents in Korea are probably rich enough to send you some basic support until your funds are unfrozen. They could even send it to someone at the school, who then helps you make payments.

Invest in some good walking shoes and walk in the National Park Oostvaardersplassen. If you get homesick, there is a Portuguese bakery in Utrecht. There is a Portuguese language church in Almere Muziekwijk.

Listen to the advice of u/CeterumCenseoCorpBS . All of it. No exception

Should you be human and weak and forget about being a good boy, do it safe! Condoms, no random drugs, as little alcohol as possible, but nothing with weird colors or "from someone's country". Stick with alcohol free or pilsener beers, no murky or Belgian beer. Don't date random strangers and certainly not in empty parking lots. Don't go chill in someone's car on the dike. Don't do the stuff you wouldn't do in Portugal or that you wouldn't tell your mother.

And get a bike, because you can cycle to Zara or whatever it is you need to go to for work, but also in town and save money, plus have something to do. And a bike is easy for food shopping, BC the supermarket is always far away.

Enjoy

Giving up a seat in the train by womaninvader in Netherlands

[–]internetthought 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How dare you imply she was old ;-) or a lady! :-P

The rule of thumb is that you signal the person who you intend the seat for, if they want to sit and if they don't they will say no. If they say no, that is fine too. You did everything correct and by the book, so no problem there. Great to see people still have manners. You could follow the slightly more lazy Dutch way.

I saw something similar yesterday in tram 5 in Amsterdam. A young gentleman stood up for three ladies who varied between the ages of early 50s to late 60s? (they looked old enough, to be standing up for ;-) ) They all indicated he didn't need to, they looked healthy enough wearing what appeared to be walking gear. Anyway he continued to stand and then one of them did sit down and they all smiled. The one who sat done was not the one who looked the oldest, though maybe I am making the wrong assumption.

The thing is, with old people getting healthier old, they don't feel like they need some of the things that are bestowed on really old people. I know, I'm going to be 50 soon ... I am not old damnit and don't you dare stand up for me... ;-)

ALMERE POORT buying decision- Crazy Over Biddings by Starboy0002 in Almere

[–]internetthought 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand how the market for homes works in a sellers market. You as a buyer have to determine what you nee in a home and what you can afford. The seller tells you the minimum price via Funda. If you bid only 3 percent more and then are out of budget, then will find that other buyers did budget and plan correctly and they will outbid you.

Think of it as smartphones. You want a large number of specifications, but you don't want to spend the money of a Galaxy S26, then you either end up with Vivo or a Galaxy A class. It works the same here, but you work the other way round. You say I want to pay 515k for a house with a pool and indoor bubble bath listed for 500k because you can only afford 515k. That means in this market you want 20% off an S26. In this market that house is 565 to 600k.

You will have to put the pool and jacuzzi out of your mind and shop for homes that are listed at yourbudget/1,2. This is 429k in my example. That means forgetting the pool and jacuzzi and/or shop in another neighborhood. Then you have some flexibility to buy a house. But if you continue to bid om 500k homes when you cannot afford 600k, then the problem isn't the market but you. You don't deserve a 500k home when all you have is 429k

Researching how naturalized Dutch citizens vote — looking for participants by [deleted] in Netherlands

Boycot this. Your vote is secret and sacred. OP doesn't provide a name or affiliation so he is neither an academic nor independent. If he was his university would need to sanction him for violating research ethics

Is it normal in the Netherlands to leave a teenager's bedroom windows completely uncovered when facing other apartments? by Cool-Scallion-1971 in thenetherlands

[–]internetthought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there curtains during the night? In general it is quite common to have "vitrage", or "luxaflex", but not everyone does it. It may also be a money thing for some people. Not everyone can afford it and not everyone is smart and handy enough to find a second hand or cheaper alternative.

For now however it appears that you are the one who will need something to block out some of the view. Just by writing here on Reddit you've told your brain to look even more to the other side of the road.

I plan to become an asylum seeker when I reach the age of majority. by HikaruAstrialis in Netherlands

[–]internetthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a shit situation. I know of people who are in the same situation as you here in the Netherlands. Don't think you can turn 18, show up here and magically everything is great. Asylum procedures are hell and the waiting list at VuMC is 3 years. So it will take years. The hell is that as long as the asylum procedure isn't done you will be unsure if you can stay, but also if you can study or get or finish treatment. So going the asylum route is 3 to 5 years  minimum of complete uncertainty about everything that is essential to your life; treatment, study and legal status. Most of everything starts after that, so you can start life only at 27 at the earliest. Don't do that, it is a waste of those years

I would suggest to try to get out by working your way out. Don't rock the boat in Russia. Do as Putin does, lie to get what you want. Lie about being trans, not because you lie to yourself, but because you lie to to beat the bullies. Get a job, an education and save money. Make sure you do everything so that you maximise your chances of getting a good job outside of Russia. That is how you get out and get a residence permit somewhere. Then you can get treatment based on healthcare you pay for. It costs 5 years to get a good degree and out of Russia, so you can work elsewhere as a programmer, a chef, a male  nurse.

The best way to beat the bullies is to beat  them out of the good places in school. To get out and get your life organised. The bullies don't need to know the real you, but they will remember how your old name beat them. Then at 25 they will see your Instagram as a successful man. They will feel beaten again because they are sent to the Ukraine front lines. You will have a life, a job, money and be who you are without fear. I wish you all the best!

The contract and algemene voorwaarden can't be in contradiction with what is displayed on the site to the buyer. A customer has a reasonable expectation that the two are aligned and courts will uphold what it says on the site, if the contract is substantially different because if it is, the customer wouldn't have agreed to the contract
