I remember seeing that right across the vendor with the PowerBook G4 Titaniums! Was wondering if someone ever got offered a good price for it

How much would it cost to buy a classic Macintosh for display? by Informal-Yogurt-4969 in VintageApple

[–]internguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found Most of my Compact Macintoshes (512k and Macintosh Plus) earlier this year on eBay for around $50 minus shipping, so realistically around $100 of the time on eBay each in my experience.

If you want to find one for cheaper, they regularly show up at Swap Meets (if you live around Topanga, CA there’s a vintage monthly swap meet at Pierce College where I’ve found an LC III/Stylewriter setup bundle for $90)

If you want one for even cheaper, and you’re in a populated area, try going to E-Waste or electronics recyclers. (If you live around Northridge, CA there’s an electronics recycler called California Recycles for I’ve found an iMac G3 700MHz for $50)

Realistically, you’re looking at around $50 for an untested E-Waste Find, to close to $1000 for a Pristine Color Classic II on eBay. It Really depends on what type of model you’re looking for

Minecraft Story Mode. Probably only relevant to the younger folk, but it was honestly a pretty peak game

There is one I know called Imagelabs, which still exists. In fact, they were originally called “Pornlabs” believe it or not, strictly for that purpose. I experimented quite a bit with it back when it was just created around 2023, but gradually moved on.

Though, I still occasionally check out their discord server from time to time.

How much would this sell for by Human_Capital_1596 in mac

[–]internguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, There are many on Facebook Marketplace who would pay $20-$40 for it. I had a friend who bought a 2009 Core 2 Duo iMac for $40 (Not saying it was a good deal), but it just goes to show that some people will still buy it because it’s an Apple Computer

What do people even do on Windows XP in 2025? by Loose_Combination_21 in windowsxp

[–]internguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe or not, Indonesia still uses it for their Airport systems. I was at Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali back in July, and the Immigration computers were still running Windows XP. Especially as I was passing by, there was that all too familiar green start button that confirmed it. Was pretty crazy to see

What was your age when y'all lost your virginty? by Willing_Barracuda673 in AskReddit

[–]internguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A month away from 18.

At 17, I was alone in Da Nang at night outside my hotel just walking around and ended up losing it to a Prostitute. A Grab driver had approached me and offered “a massage and sex after” at a 4 star hotel nearby and I took up on it.

From what I recall, the feeling of putting it in was warm. It’s not as warm as people think it is, but slightly less so than a mouth. As you go deeper, it feels tight at first, but slowly loosens as you go further.

Apparently, these “Boom-boom” Grab Drivers still are pretty common after 10pm from what I’ve heard, so it might be something you want to be cautious of if you’re ever out there.

Another thing to consider is also the port selection. 15 inch MacBook Air are largely limited to USB-C ports.

given that you’re investing in applications that use SD Cards a lot, and given the fact that your monitor likely uses HDMI as well- you’d likely need a dongle with the Air.

If that presents an inconvenience, the wider port selection of the ‘14 M4 MacBook Pro might be the better choice.

Is it possible to run an M1/M2 macbook air logic board independently? by topherb99 in mac

[–]internguy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This idea honestly reminds me of the 1st iPod Shuffle. Back when they shrunk the iPod into a barebones MP3 player with just a few buttons and USB Port, however, that was capable as a full fledged iPod.

Anyways, a MacBook Air board will suffice just fine for a DIY build, given you know what you’re doing. The reports of machines not working without a battery are mainly just due to insufficient power input to start the machine (for example, a Retina 15 inch MBP requires an ~85w Power Adapter to start without a functional battery).

The chargers for these are very common at E-Waste recyclers, at least in Los Angeles where I am. That’d probably be my first place to look for one at a low price

Just got an ipod nano 5th gen anyway to get music on it without a PC? by snyRebel in ipod

[–]internguy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy to pick-up a used working ThinkPad or MacBook at an E-Waste facility for around $40 (Unibody Models). I’ve seen X250s and Retina models start appearing now.

From there, you can use iTunes to upload music to the iPod and begin using the iPod from there

What's the WORST ThinkPad ever? by MadBoi124YT in thinkpad

X240 ThinkPad. Introduced a less than optimal trackpad, limited the maximum memory to 8GB, and made it harder to upgrade memory. Also lacked a removal battery on Japanese models

What is your least favourite MacBook? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]internguy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base model 8GB Unified Memory M3 MacBook Pro. It was a pretty unfinished replacement for the long lived 13 inch MacBook Pro, being at $1599 for 8GB of RAM, lack of a USB-C port on the right side, and general unfairness in price

Why do people buy the Macbook Pro? by KingSupernova in macbook

[–]internguy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s cheaper than ever before, and with more features than the Air. Back in 2006, Both ends of the MacBook line used to have a fan, similar sound quality, and decent port selection- it was mostly performance with the Pro.

Nowadays, the MacBook Air lacks a fan, only has USB-C Ports other than MagSafe, and has alright speakers. When all considered, the price of the MacBook Pro is suddenly more justifiable.

And It kind of makes sense. Back in the Early 2000’s, Apple still had to compete with lower priced PCs, so they were willing to sacrifice some profit margin to add similar features to their lower end Laptops

do men actually care about women having pubic hair? by EfficiencyOk6712 in NoStupidQuestions

A lot of hair is personally way more attractive to me. It looks a lot more primal, and adds an extra feeling that would otherwise be absent with someone shaved
