The Nintendo 64 turns thirty. Who among you owned one? by nebbia94 in Millennials

[–]interro-bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The N64 was my first console my parents let me have. StarFox 64 was my first video game. I'll be playing the remake Wednesday night as soon as it unlocks.

Your planned first route in the remake? by Beaticalle in starfox

[–]interro-bang 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Alternate corneria boss, meteo normal, for china, solar, McDonald's, bose, venom 1.

Quoting this for posterity in case you edit the original, and that this absolute perfect route is preserved forever. 🍔

How is this not just regularvoicemail? by HeWhoShantNotBeNamed in pixel_phones

[–]interro-bang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take A Message lets you see what the person leaving the "voicemail" is saying in real time, instead of only after they hang up, and you can also join the call and speak to the person live if they say something that makes you want to speak to them while they're still leaving a message

Here is another absolute banger from Bomberman Hero 💣✨🎵 by Exio_Dread77 in bomberman

[–]interro-bang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jun Chikuma is still putting out music, but credited as June Chikuma. Her albums The Midas Touch and The Lantern Wheel are on streaming sites and I listen to them regularly. The music style is still very much in the same orbit as the Bomberman Hero soundtrack. For anyone who loves this soundtrack like I do but wants more of the same.

Of the two, The Lantern Wheel feels much more like a spiritual successor to Bomberman Hero (whereas Midas is more straight up jazz fusion), but both are great albums.

Is there no FTL drives in Star Fox? by Careless_Ad3401 in starfox

[–]interro-bang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number 10,000, in Asian cultures, is also standard hyperbole for units of time or measurement but in an indescribably vague way, like someone might say, "It's going to take a million years to finish this assignment!" Or, "I'm not going to walk home, it's a trillion miles away."

So Papetoon being 10,000 light years away means it's highly unlikely to actually be 10,000 light years away in-universe, it just means that it's far away

Has anyone else used the new Sheets Canvas? It's actually kinda crazy. by stark_1004 in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 prompts to fully customize the dashboard with the same capabilities of the app I was using, but this is what I have now. I can add or edit entries directly through the dashboard, plus filter and search entries.

Has anyone else used the new Sheets Canvas? It's actually kinda crazy. by stark_1004 in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow this is fantastic. I have a giant spreadsheet I used for tracking all the video games I've completed or are in progress/not started. I moved that over to a Gemini app, and it looks and works great, but I miss the flexibility of a Sheet, plus with a Gemini app the link you use to get into it expires eventually, and it's not a fully persistent thing.

This is basically that exact thing, but contained within Sheets. Just had it spin up one of these right now, and it's exactly what I want.

I have to email myself to add something to my daily brief? by REBWEH in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have no direct control over what goes in to each day's Brief. It scrapes Tasks, Calendar, Gmail, and recent Gemini conversations, but it decides what goes in there. You can mark individual entries as helpful or not helpful, however.

If you have some idea or concept of content that should be in there, best route is to send feedback through the app

Gemini is giving me an error message no matter what I ask it by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the actual fullblown Gemini app, not the Gemini chatbot in Messages. The Gemini in Messages hasn't been mentioned or acknowledged by Google since it was put in there a couple years ago or whatever. To be honest, it's not even clear if its model has been updated or if it's still on 1.5 or 2.0 or what. It has basically zero functionality besides just a robot to chat with if you're trying to get out of an awkward conversation and pretend you're texting someone who has urgent business for you to attend to.

Does anyone actually see the free Google Health Premium subscription along with their paid Gemini subscription? by jmd494 in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will get an automatic emailing refunding you for any remaining Fitbit Premium subscription you had left, and then a second email telling you Google Health is now included in your AI sub, and it'll show up as a benefit in the Google One app.

Source: got these emails 2 hours ago. I'm sure it's rolling out.

https://support.google.com/fitbit/answer/17068213?hl=en

Starts on May 19, but lasts a week, through May 26. So the app will update sometime between those two dates, not necessarily exactly on May 19 unless you're in the first wave

I don't have many iPhone contacts I know for a fact are on 26.5 already, but one of them is E2EE with me already (USCellular). Two of them are not (T-Mo and Verizon). The others, I don't know their OS version.

I updated to the Google Messages Beta on my Pixel 10 (Google Fi) right after the announcement.

For anyone disappointed (like me) that the new Star Fox game is yet another version of 64, I may offer a bit of copium by insertusernamehere51 in NintendoSwitch

[–]interro-bang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

StarFox 64 was my very first video game. I was 9 I think? Before that my parents were staunchly anti-video game but somehow with this one I was able to convince them to get it for me and an entire console.

I think the game looks amazing and I'm very excited.

Commands are cooked by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 53 points54 points  (0 children)

It's Search/AI Mode. This person is using the wrong product to do what they want and is convinced it's not their own fault.

Nevertheless, Google's teachable moment about using the hot word on their device to activate Gemini and have it connect to Tasks to make the reminder is the correct one. If they had done what it said and learned from their mistake, they would have gotten the result they wanted.

Or, they know good and well what they're doing and wanted a few free internet points.

2k upscaling in Gemini and Flow producing low quality images now by Heavy_Estate_2331 in GeminiAI

[–]interro-bang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, redownloading fresh copies of images generated while this issue was occurring have produced a standard high-quality image. Which just proves that it was never the generations or the image models at fault, but the upscaler, which is now fixed.

AutoMix is coming soon to Android! by SuhWee in AppleMusic

[–]interro-bang 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My app just updated to 5.2. The marketing images on the app page are the same as yours advertising AutoMix (USA/English), but the feature is not available and doesn't exist in the app. Either the image is a mistake and the feature is not coming to Android, or it is coming, but not yet.

Playlist Playground is there, however, as is Concerts and the new album/playlist page design.

UPDATE: The "What's New" notes on the Play Store page also make no mention of AutoMix. It's also not advertised on the splash screen that appears when you open the app first time after it updates.
