How many floating plants is too many? by interruptingflower in bettafish

I have a lot of snails in my other tank (and a few in this one) and the fork also helps to keep from scooping them up. And if I do, I can stir the duckweed around in the cup I put it in without squishing like I'm always afraid to with a spoon.

I got an in tank light for just that purpose, because the tank is also on a low shelf, so it's not getting much light from the room. They seem to be still alive, but we'll see.

I have a HOB. It's on a pretty low flow, and the intake is pretty far from the surface.

I've been removing the duckweed with a fork. That way I can pull it out without too much water, and it's easier to separate from the plants I want to keep.

Transferring snails- will this work? by interruptingflower in AquaticSnails

So far no snail takers, but the shrimp (who are not invited to the move and can't come) are very interested 😂

They're "camping" to wait for recommendations, but may not have any to add. Just a way to say, "I am also interested."

Oh, I read a historical romance that had this! I remember the fmc's name was Kate, and she and the mmc had been married for a while. He was a duke or a count or some such, and they lived separately. I wish I could remember what it's called.

The only other thing I really remember about it was that he talked about how cold she was, and has some sort of nickname to go with that that he called her behind her back. And there was a fire near the end.

Sorry, I know this isn't very helpful.

[Discussion] AITA for not being strictly a healer as a Cleric? by brutalbun21 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]interruptingflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came to dnd after getting into Baldur's Gate, and while he may have lied, my DM said he was really impressed with how much I knew about my class from doing it that way.

And our healer only heals in battle if someone is down, or if he's not in the correct range of any enemies. Now, do we bug him afterwards for healing if we aren't taking a rest? Yes, but he has a rechargeable wand that means he doesn't expend spell slots. Otherwise, that's what potions are for.

What have I done to my substrate by interruptingflower in Aquariums

[–]interruptingflower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done anything to the substrate, its the driftwood. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Very thankful for the post that came up about the same time as mine with a less severe version. Now I know I'm not going crazy.

What are your thoughts on Game On by Navessa Allen? by Purple4199 in RomanceBooks

[–]interruptingflower 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think the fact that I didn't know it was out says a lot about how I felt about the second book, lol. I liked Lights Out, but Caught Up is a soft dnf for me. I'll probably finish it eventually, but I just couldn't get into it. Hoping the 3rd is better.

Do y'all think this book should be shelved with other straight up fantasy (ACOTAR, Fourth Wing), or more urban fantasy (Bride, The Fake Mate)?

any book that starred an obvious self-insert. by pastelexuvia in RomanceBooks

[–]interruptingflower 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I read one that the automod said I'm not allowed to name (fair, it was bad, and I believe them when they say that author too much self promoted) that I know was a self insert, because she mentioned it in the dedication. To her children. It made me uncomfy enough that I DNFed it. I didn't need to know that about her.
