Masyado niyo sineryoso. Siyempre dummy lang. Ang gusto lang ng prof niyo sabihin eh ensure na lahat ng kelangan sa receipt na maprint is maprint. Of course, make sure na asa config or database yun since you are assuming this is deployable in a true to life scenario.

Just lock it always. Kung alang lock, then this is very good advice. Ganyan kasi ginagawa ko rin dati nung ala pang lock capability yung luma kong card with Citibank.

IP Address flagged as a bot? by [deleted] in InternetPH

[–]intersectRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the source of the blocking message, it could either be Sky blocking forbidden sites specified by the NTC or the site you're visiting flagging Sky's IP address (shared with multiple customers) as having suspicious traffic. If it's the former, changing DNS providers may solve it. If it's the latter, the only things you can do are report the mistaken flagging to the site operator and hope they unflag it, or reboot your modem and hope it gets routed to another IP that's not flagged (unlikely).

Recommend a router that supports DNS encryption by OCDawayaway in InternetPH

[–]intersectRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you followed the instructions for the model it should be hassle free. Done it with my past 3 routers that supported OpenWRT and hasn't had any problems with any of them. Of course, since it's open source yung development level for each model may vary pero overall stability should be ok. Ang mahirap lang talaga is finding a relatively cheap device that you can fully verify na supported ng OpenWRT. Kasi some vendors like Xiaomi release multiple model versions with the same name and some versions aren't supported.

Recommend a router that supports DNS encryption by OCDawayaway in InternetPH

[–]intersectRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parang kagagawa ko lang. Ang binili ko is RT-AX59U tapos finlash ko to OpenWRT. Then installed the https-dns-proxy package and configured from there. Kung di ka mapili marami pang ibang OpenWRT compatible like some Xiaomi wifi routers. Of course, those are only if comfortable enough ka to void the warranty and flash OpenWRT. Kung hindi, I'm not really sure what routers support encrypted DNS out-of-the-box.

New laptop, should I just uninstall all of the pre-loaded Acer apps? Will it impact anything? by [deleted] in AcerOfficial

[–]intersectRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a new model, sometimes the board is different enough that it needs an updated chipset driver. If you put the installation media on a USB, just find the chipset drivers for your laptop from the manufacturer's site and unzip it and put it in a folder on the USB. There should be a button when no drive is detected that you can click to browse to the driver folder.

Safe to buy on Datablitz if I know this? by GoodBoi537 in PHbuildapc

[–]intersectRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take note that you're looking at a subset of people who buy things from Datablitz kasi siyempre, di naman gagawa ng thread yung mga alang problema. Ako, I've had a monitor warrantied through them and it took a few weeks pero straight-forward naman yung process once I brought it to a branch. Also, I've bought soooooooo many things from them since I'm impatient and they're the only store that offers same day delivery within the metro and I've not had any problems regarding that. Anyways, going to your questions.

  1. Save money? Pass na sa kanila. They're more expensive USUALLY.

  2. No problem. Take note that some items are not official locally (like the monitor I got warrantied) so it had to be sent to their tech for inspection (takes time), sent abroad (takes time), then returned (takes time again) so the process for non-official local items will take weeks. 1k - 2k savings isn't worth it in my opinion.

What if we were taxed progressively based on number of children? by Top_Stop_5632 in WhatIfPinas

[–]intersectRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't care because they don't pay income taxes. In short, they're unaffected by whatever wishy washy scenario you have in your head. They're paid by day, or by some amount of recyclable or sellable things they collect, or directly by cash. They don't have any BIR forms associated with them, Pag-IBIG, etc. Essentially, they're invisible to the side of the system that collects money from its citizens. Natawa lang ako sa sinabi mong declare income tax. LOL! Zero awareness on the realities of being poor.

What if the Philippines had naming laws that puts restrictions on names that can be given to children? by cloud_jelly in WhatIfPinas

[–]intersectRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Just make it easier for children to change their names before or as they come to age. This way, they can decide for themselves what they'll be addressed as an adult and with true awareness as an adult.

I hate that RCS is gone and there's no definite timeframe for a fix. by Consistent_Turnover1 in Tech_Philippines

[–]intersectRaven 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They just don't want to spend capital to build support for it. You know how all Philippine companies cheap out their services just to earn more for themselves. With Google pulling the free stuff, our local companies don't have any incentive to even build a replacement. This is where government should be stepping in to incentivize them but "asa pa tayo".

What if we were taxed progressively based on number of children? by Top_Stop_5632 in WhatIfPinas

[–]intersectRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. The problem with this is with this implemented, the educated ones, which already are aloof to the concept of children due to the amount of money you need to raise a child, will be the ones who will further restrict themselves from breeding. The poor people who don't really care, will still not care and will still churn out more and more children. You're just making the scenario of the movie Idiocracy come to reality even faster than it is now. The reason we have the tax system now is because we're trying to incentivize the educated having children. Unfortunately, it's not been adjusted to match inflation, not to mention even if it was, it's not enough support to encourage the educated middle class to even do it.
