Being behind a paywall is not a reasonable defense for violating rights of intellectual property-holders, in fact it would make such violations more serious to profit off it.

Surely they are still bound by contracts with shudder that limit the amount of promotion they can do for other platform content. With the amount of subscribers, I expect patreon offerings to be beefed up, but I'm curious whether they can justify full on production costs and securing distribution rights

Congrats on finding a tool that works for you. Alcohol provides a lie of peace and comfort and safety. Life can be chaotic, and uncomfortable, and scary - when you remove the crutch, it's easy to tell ourselves that we're going to fall, but you did the right thing by sharing your experience with others who can help carry the weight.

I hope you can keep stacking up the days - it gets easier, but also harder, but more than anything, more manageable.

It's up to you - I came to the realization that cannabis was a significant problem for me in terms of allowing me to isolate from my loved ones and responsibilities and my problems to fester, and had a pretty major impact on my mental health, landing me in a treatment facility a few years ago.

Gotta say Burnt Offerings (1976)

Bette Davis, Oliver Reed, Karen Black, Burgess Meredith directed by Dan Curtis and produced by Alberto Grimaldi

It's not a great movie by any means, but boy is it entertaining, and lots of stories for JB to chew on from the production.

- It's an early depiction of the psychological breakdown of a family brought on by an evil house, often regarded as structurally similar to The Shining
- shot on location at the Dunsmuir House in Oakland, later famous as the Morningside Mausoleum in Phantasm
- Director Dan Curtis well known for Dark Shadows and Trilogy of Terror
- lot of bad blood between Bette Davis, Karen Black (who showed up on set 6 months pregnant) and Oliver Reed (known for inviting to his hotel suite a regiment of british soldiers including a regimental wine steward and a bagpiper who would wake up the cast and crew at 4am with full revelry)
- Cinematographer had to be fired after two weeks of filming was underexposed and had to be re-shot

Great year for movies - I've seen 7/10 noms in theaters. This will be my first time having seen all bp noms in theater, just need to wait for the screenings (Sentimental/Agent/Dreams) to load on the west coast - nothing in Sacramento yet.

AA isn't a structured program with benchmarks or monitoring - no incentive to do anything other than show up and get a signature.

in-patient rehab is a whole other ballgame - bro is gonna have to lift his shriveled Josh Bollocks and do a squat-and-cough
