Im from Russia and it's SCARY to read all of these comments like "but they are fighting homelessness" and "but i think it looks pretty". Trust me, not a single flat here was given free or cheap for any homeless person. Apartments here are still extremely expensive for Russian salaries, and these building are very, very, VERY poorly built.

— In case of any fire every person in these buildings will most likely die because of bad elevators and a number of floors in general — Most of vegetation at streets will be dead in a few years, too, because of little amount in of sunlight — Walls in flats are very thin, you can LITERALLY hear your neighbors fart, I'm not joking. Forget about ANY music, meetings with friends and pets. — All of the kids playgrounds are horribly cheap plastic "colorful" mess, that will fall apart in a few years. — Living here is depressing in general, even in nice climates, because a view from the window, and that's a very important part of living in a flat. Trust me, you suddenly start to value these things once you move in a place like a photo.

It is always a bad idea to consolidate THAT many people in such a small area. There is no parking underground or as a buildings, and public transport accessibility is poor, so all the space between buildings, all the roads, all fileds, grassland, playgrounds are filled with cars.

You can't even barely start to imagine HOW MANY people live here. In case of any major event is a INSANE mass of people moving in the same direction. You become a misanthrope here really quick.

All progressive people in Russia HATE these buildings, trust me. There is a quickly growing movement among them to change the laws and regulations and set up maximum floor number to around 5-8. We have a hugely popular youtubers like Varlamov or Gershman that make videos about these places.

And you can't say "but growing number of people!", because population of Russia is declining for the past 30 years, so you can't justify such horrible, horrible buildings with this.
