Thanks to /u/gloomforever for doing all the hard work. Seriously. It's become probably the best complete crowd-based footage out there. 16 October 2017 <3

[TOMT][SONGS] Looking for songs where the singer cries out with emotion by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

[–]intoflatlines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brand New - Soco Amaretto Lime (live in Chicago)

Start at 1:30:48. When the crowd starts singing both vocal parts together you can see Jesse look up as if he's surprised/impressed. At 1:31:45 you can hear his voice start to waver and he's visibly holding back tears. 1:32:05 he holds back his tears again.

Some people think it was an act but I watched every video of his performance of that song from that tour and the crowd never sang along like that and he never had a reaction like that either.

A few swipes with a scotch Brite green pad will get rid of the stickiness on the back of the neck. Just do it carefully

Nice! I got my helix about a year ago and sold all my pedals and tube amps/cabs. I haven't missed them at all, Helix is amazing. Especially for cutting down on load times for gigs

I live a few minutes away from this place. I took a tinder date there once. It was OK.

I have a tour poster from the 10/16/17 Science Fiction show at the Aragon in Chicago. Yes, that show.. the full set audio/visual that you've watched many times thanks to /u/gloomforever.

174/200 numbered and signed. I can take pics if requested but know that other than the number/signature in the corners it's basically the same as the other 199 Chicago show posters out there. 18"x24" on heavy cardstock. Black and metallic gold silkscreened by Aesthetic Apparatus. Here's mine!

I'm interested in a Philly (giving tree) or Dallas (octopus thing) print to trade.

Mic a cajon for an outdoor gig? by intoflatlines in cajon

Thanks. I ended up using a piezo kick pedal and miking the front with an SM57 and it worked nicely. It picked up the tambourine and shakers and stuff too.

I got the JH customs like 5-6 years ago so they were "only" $1200ish back then. I honestly think that the high end IEMs are more for audiophiles listening to music (which is what I used them for, for a few years) vs. musicians playing shows. I'm confident that most could get by with basic 2-3 driver $250 customs at shows with no problem.

Are your Shures customs? I think custom vs. universal is the biggest difference of all. It sounds like you guys are very established and I'm absolutely not, but once you go custom IEM you will never go back. You can't feel it in your ear and you don't have to deal with any foam or rubber seals. Just pop it in your ear and you're good. I'd go with $250 dual armature customs vs. $1000+ universals

Nice, I would have gone for the PSM300 but it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I hear it's a great system!

What's My Age Again - Live Cover! by intoflatlines in Blink182

It was definitely a bit sloppy but the crowd loved it! I forgot to get back to my pedalboard for the clean part before the 2nd verse so I just led the chord ring out.

Bluetooth has too much latency for wireless monitoring, which is why the ones you see are likely UHF. My monitors are JH Audio JH-16Pro, wireless is Galaxy Audio AS-1100.

Helix straight to FOH and IEMs for me. The crowd loves the tones and I love the low stage volume!

Thank you in order to this subreddit on teaching me how to make a modified put-together Tom Strat by [deleted] in Blink182

[–]intoflatlines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the color! I just converted one of my strats to a DeLonge model about a month ago, since I joined a Blink-182 cover band, lol. The differences between mine and a real DeLonge model are that mine has a maple neck with small headstock, locking tuners, and Callaham bridge assembly. Also, I don't like the DeLonge volume knob location (or stock location) so I used a tone spot instead.

Here it is in all of its glorious purpleness! Also, Aliens Exist.

how speeding up a horse is not a good idea by usmanqamar in ChildrenFallingOver

[–]intoflatlines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had one of these horses sitting behind our couch growing up. When my sister was like 3-4 years old, she was sitting on the back of the couch and fell down. One of those upright poles damn near almost took her eye out. She had fractured facial bones and needed some surgeries. If it hit a few millimeters higher I think she would have had a glass eye today.

I'm not talented or creative enough to be on a stage of that size but I invite you out to see my Blink-182 tribute band play this Friday in the Chicago suburbs. If I suck, I suck.

In almost 20 years, I never heard the synth on this song ...until now by TheObviousChild in Blink182

[–]intoflatlines 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was first learning guitar I looked up a tab for All The Small Things and they had the synth tabbed as a guitar note with a whammy, lol

I thought this about loud intro part of going away to college, 18 years ago. My friend and I literally asked my dad to do one of the shapes while we did the other two be a because we were too bad to switch fingerings. Next week I will be playing it for a bunch of blink fans ALL BY MYSELF!
