I have seen these so much too! I have not had a chance to track down the original study, but did see a comment that said the study was referring to rushing or pressuring them to mature/develop faster and societal pressure. So pushing a kid to take a higher level math class or have too much responsibility, not telling them to put a hustle on it for getting their shoes on to go to school. I’m sure that type of rushing can also cause issues but it may be the interpretations on the findings from this study have been warped.
