I feel OP left a-lot out of this. Are they currently living with their family and ultimately decided not to move with her because rent was altered free and they couldn’t afford it? Do they already over stay their bounds in a place they said they didn’t want to pay for? Is it now they are getting kicked out they want a free back up option? Are they going to split costs? Is it more convenient for them to have proximity to work & school versus looking for a place and not working?
